Pots of Evil - Friday evenings during Advent

i loved the evil! luckily i only had time for one?
it even made me sweat, more than i was, but "the nose knows" gen said my aroma was neutral *phew*. nothin' grander than being sniffed up by a lady.

well I am sorry I snuck off early, but had good reasons. what a lovely hangover free Saturday morning I've been having now too!

I looked around 4.15-4.30pm. I must admit that I didn't look in the back right corner, only in the left.

That was a wee bit early. I think the first of us arrived just before 5pm.

following complaints from last year, they didn't have any music playing
anyway, we made up for it by singing the 12 days of christmas at the top of our voices (greg kindly looked up the words on his snazzy blackcurrant doodah), which earned us a hearty round of applause from errrrm one person
tee hee - we enjoyed it, anyway

they told us no music before advent Sunday...

well, that's good news then, innit
they told me as well that there would be music next week (or was it the week after) but i thought they were just fobbing me off...

Nope, no fobbing, the person-who-seemed-to-be-in-charge told me - in a tone that said it ought to be bleedin obvious - that there is no Christmas music until Advent, i.e. not before tomorrow, Sunday.

Firstly the organisational detail: one mug of Bowle costs 3.50 and the deposit is 3€. I think someone asked...

I thought it was a cracking evening. I drank only 6 of the things in 3 1/2 hours and this morning felt fine and a hell of a lot better than after the average curry night. Roll on next Friday!

One advantage of starting so early is that you can go on somewhere afterwards and make a long evening of it and the trains are still running when you want to go home. Saves a fortune in taxi fares.

It was particularly good to see (1) Pootle and (2) loads of people I haven't seen for too darned long. It's starting to feel like Christmas

Hi folks, it was yummiliciously fantastic. Just popped by for a short while and found Jeeves - or rather he found me. And I got to meet the ever-lovely Arwen, wow - my lucky day.

Will meet you guys next week - Friday, right? How about we drink till they close at 8.30pm and then a walk over to Karlsplatz Stacchus for some ice-skating afterwards?

Seeing as the carol singing was a bit ragged on Friday, why not, in keeping with the Xmas spirit (whatever the hell that is!) have a Karaoke Karol Evening. Anybody got songsheets or whatever, I only sing when I`m well plastered. I feel sure the natives will love us for this, Showem likes to have a nice singalong dontcha girl? P.S. She kissed me bye-bye last time, surprised the hell out of me.

I was drunk. I almost kissed our waitress goodbye.

Story of my life up till now .( not that it was unpleasant or anything, the goodbye kiss I mean)

What time? I want to see the medieval market, but maybe afterwards if I can ditch the kids (or before - depending on when you all start...)

Dropped by the medieval market on Monday and they were absolutely closed at about 6:30. What's that all about? I would love to drop by there as well. But I do really need the haircut.

I was a no-show last week despite being a 'maybe'. Have 2 visitors who anyway want to go for a drink, so I'm a maybe this week too.

As i just found 20 oi rose in a pair of jeans before i put them in the wash (which means Im not totaly flat broke) i guess i can make it for a couple.

Finally made it to bed at 4AM and AGAIN I forgot to call Topsy for a late night stiff one in a skanky pub at Sendlinger Tor!

just made it back into town with a banging headache nice meeting you all last night.
