Pro7 series Popstars, another casting show but at least this was the first in the format in Germany, is currently hurtling towards the finale - who will make it into the final band?
Well, the Bandhaus is in Munich.
So it was no surprise to see Mandy and Bahar shopping near Stacchus on Friday evening.
Accompanied by Robin D. the Popstars voice coach.
Strangely enough both girls were singing while swinging their shopping bags as Robin D. told them that now they were in the band they wouldn't be able to shop like that anymore as they would be famous.
If you can get a bet on either girl making the cut then do so - those two are definitely in.
Both can actually sing, Mandy's voice is slightly better and she is fantastically pretty in real life, like a tiny doll with huge eyes. This was the bit that everyone really wanted to know though, isn't it?

mandy has a nice vibratto in her voice so no shock that she's in (i think that's the one). i watched last weeks episode and was really, really, surprised they thought to bring nina back in (the last one i saw, she got kicked out and that was at least 6 weeks ago). that is hugely unfair to those who worked their asses off and got kicked out fairly. and well senna nerves the hell out of me. who would want to be in a band with her? she makes me laugh with all her "now, I'm older and wise, so listen up" crap!

one thing i have not understood about this show is how sick the people have been and how they then sit on their asses and whine about not being able to perform. if there was this type of show in the u.s., well... no excuses. you either do or don't. you have a leg up on someone who is ill. sucks, but it is a dog-eat-dog world. nina had an accident and could not dance, sad, but well, tought titty. try next year. and last week leo saying she had another competition to worry about! erm, which is more important? too bad the popstars show didn't make that clearer to them in the beginning. I'm realy surprised how wimpy these teenagers are.

have you ever watched p. diddy's "making the band". popstars is preschool compared to that. i watched 1 or 2 episodes where he was calling ths girls fat and stuff. phew.

and those twins that were on the show, well i was shocked as hell to find out how old they were. i thought they were at least 10 years older (aside from that silly tooth piercing). girly they are not (okay, one got kicked off).

so that's my 2 cents.

Hmmmm
Look who made the band - Bahar, Mandy and Senna
What a surprise...
Elfenstar
did you watch it? i was busy last night. i missed last week too (or rather watched bahar & mandy sing, but they that was it).
i had no idea who they'd pick, but i was surprised they picked senna! she can't dance & she's so "ordinär"!

so that's that. what an interesting mix. not one is 100% deutsch.

Nah, was at Yo La Tengo gig. Think 2 were seeded and it was really between the blonde gal (Kati?) and Senna for the third spot.
The public love Senna because she gives them credibility of a sort, very street, she broadens their appeal. Plus it gives Stefan Raab tons of material.

oh! did the public vote for them then? i'm just glad that's all over.

Phone vote raking in cash for Pro 7, I think.

[@ Katrina & Elfenstar:
Senna was the 1st to be actually chosen by the judges.
Then the other 2 were eliminated by them, and they ended up choosing Bahar next.
Mandy & Romina had a sing-off between the 2 of them, and the audience had to decide. Which Mandy then won, of course. (Was a bit obvious who would win!)
There is usually a repeat of the programme on Pro7 @ about 10am on Sundays.
