As discussed in the
ultimate frisbee thread, it would be scandalous not to celebrate a fantastic year of chucking frisbee's around in the
English Garden with a proper night out. So here it is ...
When: 11th November at 20:00
Where: Günther Murphy'sWhy: Our common love of ultimate and beer
Everyone is welcome, regardless of whether you played, spectated or just got hit by a frisbee walking past. I'll get Editor Bob to add an attendence sheet to this thread. Please let me know if you plan to come so I can book us a table. GM's have food available until 11pm.
Who's with me?

Now why, but why, would you be mean enough to stick this on the same night as BNO and GNO?!

And I thought we were friends!
I know everybody from
frisbee doesn't care much for the TT events, but some of us do...
Right, rant over: count me in, I'll just split myself in two. I mean the evening.

Random chance, unfortunately ... we agreed on this date a couple of weeks ago, since it worked best for everyone who had played that day.
Now how do we get this attendance list?
I'm away that weekend otherwise I would be there for sure. Have fun folks!

In case anyone gets there before me (which is possible, since I'm running a little late),
there is a table for 15 people reserved at 8pm at GM's in my name (HAYDON).
Hasta pronto!

Next time, if you guys don't want me to be part of the group, just say so. Sheesh.

It was great that so many people came out. The ultimate players proved themselves deserved of the name. I had an excellent night (apart from standing in the rain for 10 minutes trying to hail a taxi). We'll have to do this at least twice next year

@tsquare - Apart from attracting the unwanted attentions of pogo-dancing young man, the dancing was fun. Where did we lose you?
Wow that was fun... too bad about the lack of taxis leaving the club last night.
If someone forgot a Lonely Planet book for Eastern Europe in Günther Murphy's - I have it.
PM me to arrange pick up.

jayhay - big mix up at the door. Didn't Eliana tell you? They said they heard that we were 8 people - not nine, so when she got to me, she wouldn't let me in! Okay, I guess I could've handed over the 8 euros, but I opted for a wet walk home instead. Disappointing! Next time...

Nov 13 2006, 9:47 am
@tsquare - Sorry to hear that. We definitely told the woman 9.
You should have stumped up the EUR8,- ... I would have bought you a beer to square things
@SOB - It was good to see you again. I'm glad I didn't take you up on your bet, because yes, I probably would have won.
...
Roll on next season. I can already feel myself getting fatter.

It was nice to see all the Ultimate kids dressed up for a night on the town rather than in sweaty
frisbee gear at the beer garden! We should definitely organize a kick-off party in the Spring.
