Michael Schumacher given an island by Dubai prince

Michael Schumacher, after retiring from Formula One motor racing last weekend, has been given an unusual gift.

Crown prince Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum has donated an entire island off the coast of Dubai.

Nice.

The land, worth about $7 million, is part of a archipelago of 300 islands. Together they form an interesting pattern, see if you can spot it...

Jebus, why is it than when you have bucket loads of cash, like Herr Schumacher you don't need to use it, you're just given everything?

Allershausen, I guess you spotted it. The islands are a man-made archipelago in the shape of a map of the world. Schumacher has been given one of the islands in "Antarctica".

Further info about the islands:

Presumably the Arabs gave him the island mainly for the sake of free advertising?

Hope that he doesn't get so out of practice that he can't manage the hard right- or lefthander at the end of the pier.
