Meeting up in Berlin
New in town and looking for others
Hey, how's it going? New to Berlin, been here a month and like it a lot but imaginings of an instant social circle are not getting any closer to reality! How to meet like-minded individuals?! Anyone interested in meeting up or have any suggestions?
If you fancy meeting some English Speakers I am heading to the boat tonight, I know a few of you dont like it, but I have fun and have met some great people! So Mr Newbie, if you fancy it come alone, I have copied the directions below, and I will be there from 8pm. I have a photo on my profile!

This Wednesday, Sept. 27, it's worth coming to the party on the ship Eastern Comfort just for the concert. A guitar-violin duo will be performing original and cover songs with a sound that weaves its way into your heart. Concert starts at 10. Come earlier to meet language tandem partners and to mingle in an international crowd. The atmosphere is a that of a private party. Starts 7pm on the sunset deck. The entry is 1€ and includes Charles’ 5-star hummus and bread buffet.
Last week much mixing of languages including French, Spanish, Japanese and Farsi. Oh: And there was dancing.

The ship is a 5-10 minute walk from Warschauerstr. U-Bahn/S-Bahn/Tram down Warschauerstr. toward the Oberbaumbrücke. Just before the bridge turn right onto Mühlenstr., and the Eastern Comfort entrance is about 100 meters down the street (Mühlenstr. 73) near the beginning of the Eastside Gallery. On the ship, the sunset deck catches the last early-evening sun. See you there.

There will also, hopefully, be a few people meeting up tomorrow night at 8pm at the Ocar Wilde @ Friedrickstr.
Hey! thanks for the responses...didn't catch the boat one until now but I know where the boat is and may well make my way there sometime...Irish thing tonight sounds interesting, despite being Irish myself . I'll keep a look out for you, Globalgirl.
