Yankee candles - scented candles made in the U.S.

Where to buy them in Munich

Hi all.

I'm searching for Yankee Candles - they are the best of the best of the scented candles. They are made in the U.S. and I have seen them only once here, in Kustermann's (the kitchen/house store near Viktualienmakt). But, they have a very limited selection.

Has anyone else seen them anywhere else?

I don't remember having seen them anywhere here, but I'll second your opinion that they're great candles.

I often bring them back from the US as gifts, especially the ones with "American" scents like pumpkin pie.

Edit: yes, now I remember I actually have seen them, but it was in Landsberg am Lech. There's a little corner gift shop near the Rathausplatz that was selling them a few years ago. I'm sure they only offered a few scents as well, though. And they may have only been the votives and tea lights, as opposed to the larger "house warmers." I know some of our Toytowners live in Landsberg - maybe they could contribute the name of the shop and whether they still have the candles? Is there a "Marktplatz" near the Rathausplatz? If so, I believe this shop is on the corner of the Marktplatz that you would reach first after leaving the Rathausplatz. Forgive me if my memory is faulty; it's been at least a couple of years since I've been to Landsberg.

The website for the German distributor are as follows:

Maybe e-mail them and ask for shops where one can get them.
They sure are nice and pretty scented candles

@Tom34 - yes!!! That's exactly what I needed. thank you!!
@cinzia - thanks, great tip - they are the best. They burn perfectly, last a long time and, most importantly, smell great. I'm searching for the Honeydew Melon housewarmer candle myself. I love it. Makes my mouth water!
Carm
They have them at the Floral Shop at the Arabella Sheraton (Arabellastr 5). Don't know the name, just know I get a 10% discount for working on the platz from there. rolleyes.gif

if you know what scents you're looking for try http://www.allthingsnice.de or http://www.duftkerze24.de. Both are reliable and recommended.

BravO, koala and carm.

This means more room in my suitcase for other stuff next trip back to Munich! biggrin.gif

No kidding cinzia - I never bring those back because they are just so darn heavy and they are not a necessity.

Thanks Koala, I will check it out.

I have briefly had a look at both of koala's recommendations, and the prices compare very reasonably with the prices on Yankee Candle's own US retail website (www.yankeecandle.com.)

Hi Kit, If you are interested in Candlelite Candles-there is a shop at the outlet mall in Inglostadt.

Whooppeee! I checked out both of Koala's recommendations and I found my beloved HoneyDew Melon scent. Also, if you haven't tried it yet, the Buttercream one is fantastic.

I saw them in Kustermann near Marienplatz.
