Hello,
I've decided I want guitar lessons, preferably private, to learn chords so I can accompany myself singing (don't worry, I won't do it in public). I've been looking all over internet, but I can only find ads on Kijiji, and there is only one teacher on there who I've tried out and didn't like.
Anybody have any ideas, or good internet sites I could try? A German speaking teacher is no problem. I'd be willing to pay like 15 Euros an hour.
Help me, I know you can!

Yep 15€ an hour is pretty unlikely if you ask me if you are wanting lessons from a professional teacher.
I know a few people who might either be willing or know someone who is willing to give you some lessons but I very much doubt for 15€ an hour but I can ask

The lowest rate I'm aware of is 25€ per hr.
However, 100€ per Hr is quite usual for a qualified teacher.

Why not buy 'Guitar for Dummies' from Amazon?
I just have...now all I need is a guitar and some spare time
Perhaps I should have bought 'Air Guitar for Dummies' instead.

I have a guitar in my apartment that I pick up every now and then. I know the basics and can show you how not to play it at least...
I'll show you the simple stuff if you like for beer tokens. That way it gives me a bit of motivation to strum more and you're not completely defenceless when you go to see a pro.
On that score (heh...) I need a new E string cos it went ping the other week.
