Working as an employee vs. contractor

...in the aerospace engineering industry

Hi everyone!

I'm an aerospace design engineer and I have now about 4 years experience. Before I first came in here I thought that the wage my employer gave me will be enough to live well. But now I'm not thinking the same at all, when I realized how expensive is to live in Munich.

I've asked for a raise but my employer said that it's to soon to ask for one and maybe after some time it will think about it. So I've searched for another job. I have an offer from a company which asked me if I want to be a contractor or an employee.

I've never been a contractor before so I do not really know wich are the benefits of beeing one. Can you tell me more about beeing a contractor? And what do you think I should choose right now?

Thanks!

Haven't you asked this same question before - Average salary for an aerospace design engineer? huh.gif

Send me your CV if you want and i'll give you an honest opinion of where you would fit in in aerospace contracting in Munich.
