Are you trying to tell us something here Bob? Any secret fetishes that we should be aware of?

Well you started the thread Bob!
New UK ranges from Freya, Fantasie etc. are also out now:

Palmer's lingerie tends to be quite "mature" but I've gotten a really sexy bathingsuit there.

Can we some pictures of sexy women in lingerie instead of clowns in undies?

Agreed. Down with clowns.

The crap thing about Palmers is that the
more interesting stuff stops at cup size B. The size range is relatively limited. That range was launched due to
Agent Provocateur launching in Berlin - a brand that does have a more friendly size range and fabulous sales.
In Munich, the new lingerie department in Karstadt Operpollinger really is worth a look for those looking for something a bit special (at least, they have the largest selection of Lise Charmel and Simone Pérèle in Munich and that's what matters).
Strangely enough, I was about to start a thread about
Commandos, stick on trouser protectors for those who
go commando.

I was going to post a 'Friday topic' poll post to ask the girls if they've ever bought a bra after seeing such an advert, and the boys if they've ever stopped to appreciate the symmetry and poetry of same.

Size B. It then all goes Granny. B. AP makes that style in a D *apparently* but I would not know about such things. At all. No, don't even ask.

Oct 17 2006, 2:16 pm
I am with Jenny L on this one. There are lots of things on sale for much larger than B cups at Palmers. I would post some pics but then sarabyrd would kill me.

Yeah, Palmers has only small sizes for the cute stuff, but if you got any boob at all, well, be prepared for Granny style.

Having a look at all the ads together on this thread, apparently it is a lingerie-marketing rule that the model(s) must be wearing a wig.
Eleanor Rigby
Oct 17 2006, 2:19 pm
But the wigs in the first ad are sexy (extremely sexy, at that), the others are quite the opposite and sex is what we're selling here, isn't it?

Most of the clown gear is available in D,DD, E, F, FF, G, GG, H, HH and J. Which kinda covers most punters?
Personally I reckon maybe the hairdresser called in sick on the day of the photo shoot and some bright spark said "Hey - I have got a great idea".
Katrina
Oct 17 2006, 2:20 pm
Palmers also sell
posters of their ads - very popular for student flats.
Owain Glyndwr
Oct 17 2006, 2:20 pm
Yeah the wigs in the first ad, as well being sexy, also don't destract from the lingerie, they add to it. In the ones JE posted, all i can see is "CLOWN" not "sexy undies".
Johnny English
Oct 17 2006, 2:22 pm
Frankly I don't think the model and the barnet used for the Fantasie range is much better, hence why I did not post them already:
Katrina
Oct 17 2006, 2:25 pm
The
Lise Charmel woman is good. And the
Simone Perele into sets the tone nicely.
Strangely enough, C&A always use pretty good models for their lingerie.

Do that many women wear B cup? I'd imagine most wear bigger than that or not?
Katrina

75B was Germany's average size for years - which explains Tchibo's sizing policy. Only when they started to sell overseas were extra sizes added and then the clothing sizes changed.

I personally think that the art of taking a good pic of a woman in undies has gone down hill since Helmut Newton died

Which explains why, despite the current trend for stick-insect sized women, little people like me rarely find nice-looking A cups (i.e ones that aren't ridiculously over-padded and that aren't designed for ten year olds and aren't going to cost the earth).
Johnny English
Oct 17 2006, 2:36 pm
You will still find that most German brands (Anita/Felina etc) stop at a G cup, which is equivalent to a UK FF - and even those are very very hard to find in the stores. Normal practise is to jam you into a smaller cup and use a bigger band.
UK brands have another 6 sizes bigger than that!

It gets worse than that in the Far East, i was on holiday with my ex-wife in Bali and we wanted to buy her some lingerie.
We were directed to the "Big Mama" collection
Her size ? 34 DD, not exactly "big Mama" i would have thought.

there's nothing like a girl in "my little pony" underwear to get the pulse moving.
koala, look on the bright side, at least you can get away without wearing one and not look like nature left two space hoppers in your shirt every time you walk.

If you train your muscles enough anyone up to a D cup (and possibly even beyond) can get away without wearing a bra. The most perfect natural pair of breasts I've seen were a large c-cup, she had never worn a bra in her life. She's now in her early 70's and they still point to the sky.

True gideon, very true - I can and I do. Not being able to find my size saves me a fortune, so I suppose I should be grateful for 'small' mercies. I tend to do my underwear shopping in the UK.

Breasts are supported by the skin of the decolleté and neck (which is why heavy tanners have sag). The muscle lies underneath the breast tissue. While strength training can make what you have sit better, it will not improve the skin quality, that is physically impossible.
A bra that fits and fits the purpose can help but sunscreen is your friend - no amount of weights can ever replace those two things. Doing all three is better, of course (and yeah I do).
As for Wolford and Palmers, one of Wolford's founders is Palmers - it was set up as a co-operation in the fifties.

The muscle to train isn't just under the breast, it's the connective ligament that runs all the way along into your armpit and yes, training it daily with specific excercises (finger pushups, not weights) does work. Keeping the skin tight is also important, the person in question bathed her breasts in ice-cold water and used a loofah glove everyday to increase bloodflow.

You might believe that, I don't, it just makes no sense to me.
On a side note, I hate seeing people do sports without the proper bra on. It must be so painful and uncomfortable.
