Who's interested in going together?

Hi everybody!
I'm italian graduate and I just moved to Berlin to do an internship in a contemporary art gallery.
Since I work and I don't attend University it's not easy for me meeting people here... sad.gif
I really like indie music (folk-twee-pop-electro-indie) and I would like to meet people who do as well,
in order to go out for concerts together or just to share opinions and have some chat...
If you're interested in don't hesitate to post here! tongue.gif
ciao!

Try looking out for a Berlin based band called Harthof. Nice kids. Tell 'em Sin sent you. wink.gif

ciao francesca
i'm an indie-kid if ever there was one, but living in Berlin has opened me up to more Electro-based outings as well (kind of unavoidable if you live here).

But there are definitely a good few concerts coming up that i'd be interested in going to, including: The Frames, Kaiser Chiefs (perhaps)...

Suggestions welcome.

There is a three-week string of absolutely amazing concerts coming up in about a month:

Wed 22 Nov: Danko Jones with Gogol Bordello (Gypsy Punk) et at @ SO36
Tue 28 Nov: Kaizers Orchestra (Norwegian Oompah Rock Live Superstars) @ Postbahnhof
Thu 7 Dec: Geoff Berner (Edgy Activist Accordionist; coming from Vancouver "to drag klezmer back into the bars") @ Kaffee Burger

And I think the Berlin Klezmer Festival is in there somewhere too.

Hi, this is my first post so hope it works - am an Aussie just arrived in Berlin a few weeks ago... still finding my feet but v. keen to see some live music, art, nightlife events etc... the Klezmer Festival sounds great btw, I think Trevor Dunn (ex-Mr Bungle) is playing bass on that tour. But to answer Francesa's post I would def be interested in checking out some local indie gigs, count me in!

Cheers

So glad to see there is someone who loves indie music in this amazing city!
Think I'm gonna see Hidden Cameras this week...I adore them!
That's a canadian band. You should know them...their music is so funny, crazy and cheerful!
Also next interesting gigs are: Tapes'n'Tapes, Electric President, the Frames...
So indie people let's go and have some fun... biggrin.gif
johnny
frames are playing in lido on the 24th november. Will definitely be going to them. Heard good things about electric president as well so i might head to that whenever they're playing.

Hi all, here's a super recommendation for all you Indie lovers: just check for upcoming "Karrera Club" parties... cos they're the best ! And if there's one at the ROSI'S in Friedrichshain its a must!
johnny
So who's going to the Frames??? Lido, 24th, still have to get my ticket, but €13 is the biggest bargain I've seen in quite some time!

So a little late on the pick up but I was checking out some of the concerts listed by jtw and the one next wed. sounds great. Specifically like the sound of Gogol Bordello. Was searching but cannot find out how much it would be to go (club entry or what not). Haven't heard the Norwegian Oompah Rock... sound yet, but am very intreagued by that as well. Anyone interested for the 22? or know how the door works --- aside from turning the handle---?

The Antidote Tour show (with Danko Jones, Gogol Bordello et al) is at SO36 in Kreuzberg. (It was once scheduled for Columbiahalle, but was moved, which probably brought the price down a lot.) According to http://so36.de/ tickets are EUR24 in advance, EUR27 at the door. (zitty claimed it was EUR22 so I dunno what's up there.) A list of places that might have advance tickets is at http://so36.de/konz2.html . I saw Dick Dale at SO36 last month: it's a standard concert venue with a big floor (and bar!) and no seating to speak of.

BTW, the Klezmer Festival is this Sunday night, when I will unfortunately be out of town.
