Cyclocross races and bikes

I'm a bit of a cyclocross nut. When I headed over here I figured that cyclocross would be a main sport for winter in these parts. I seem to have found the one place in Europe that doesn't really do the sport.

In any case, anyone know where to find Cyclocross races & bikes in the München area? What they seem to call Cross bikes are Hybrids in the States. Definitely not fit for racing cyclocross.

i know nothing about this sport whatsoever but you might find that the reason it is not as widespread as in other countries is becuase of the powerfull tree-hugging lobby. The sport looks like it might out some serious wear and tear on the area where it takes place.

There used to be national champinships race in Munich in the Olympiapark. But haven't heard of it in the last years.
Unfortunately it is in german. But if you are looking for races you should have a look at "Termine" the rest should be clear enough.
