Munich VHS coursesMany are already booked up.
Play.com DVDs, probably the Swedish Massage would be the one to look at, the Tantric one might not be the one to show in front of the mother-in-law?
Did a BTEC National in Massage Therapy about 15 years (!) ago, the contact to the person and their response is extremely important. But I haven't given a massage to someone else for a long time and there are practising therapists on TT who can probably help.
The training to do it as a job in Germany means training either as a Heilpraktiker, Physiotherapeut or medizinischer Bademeister at a state-regulated school. A beauty salon can offer a cosmetic massage but cannot offer a medical one, only those with offically recognised qualifications may do so. Training takes about 3 years here - this is just as side information.
Would also say to go and have a massage yourself so that you can find out what you personally like - the guy who works Mondays at
Nordbad swimming pool is extremely good, I went to him last week (and he has the Ausbildung). My medical massages/knee physio is at Nymphenburger 108a-Reha, also excellent but prescription only.
As for oils, sure there's someone on TT who does Indian oils... but
Duft & Schönheit off the
Sendlingerstr. have premixed and self-mixes, nice staff too plus pretty good prices. Right now I like Muji's lavender & geranium oil, it did wonders on the scar tissue post-knee operation and I love the scent.
