Its been a while since the last GNO... anyone interested in having one sometime in November??
UrbanAngel
We're going to watch 'The Devil Wears Prada' on Saturday if you're interested.
Warna
I could be up for that! I'll check out the details on the other thread
rusty
Good idea! Time for another GNO smile.gif.
Oleron
Looking forward to it... smile.gif
Carm

Shall we think about early November before Christmas madness hits? Or this could be part of the Christmas madness...?
Warna
I guess I should be starting a new thread for this soon then. I would have no problem organizing it... but my german sucks so someone would definately have to make the booking for me. Any co-organizer's out there???

The Saturday's in November are
  • Nov. 4
  • Nov. 11
  • Nov. 18
  • Nov. 25
Any sugestions for a place? The last time it was at the Odeon and we were the only people there, which was cool but ther service was awefully slow for someplace that was practically empty.
Showem
New thread started, for your convenience.
Renia
We 'normally' do it on a Friday night. If so, I would prefer the second Friday in November smile.gif
Tara
I'd be in for early November
Warna
Opps! Friday's Right biggrin.gif

So The Friday's in November are
  • Nov 3
  • Nov 10
  • Nov 17
  • Nov 24
UrbanAngel
Any reasonw hy it's normally a Friday? I'm usually dead Friday nights and fall asleep around 10pm after working all week.
rusty
The 1st weekend in Nov sounds good to me. I'm sure that wahoo will also be happy if we do it on Sat night as she won't have to worry about having to get to Karaoke and can relax smile.gif.

Suggestions for a location:
- Bar Centrale
- Harlaender
- Jazzbar Vogler
- Padres

???

I can make the reservation once we have decisions and numbers.
wahoo
Yes please! A saturday would be great...except I'm back in the U.S. the first weekend of November sad.gif

Not in town but someone should checkout two places for GNO:

1. Cafe Red Sax on Residence Strasse. Used to be greek owned had swank leather seating in different configurations, i.e. High tables and stools, seated table area and upstairs bar with bench leather seating. Also did drink specials on the weekdays. Centrally located, black dresses wouldnt be out of place but dont think they did much by way of food. I heard its changed hands though so dont know whats on the offer now. You'd probably have a better time there on a Friday though as Ive heard it gets packed on Saturdays.

2. Wine Bar:crap now Ive forgotten the name of if but its a cellar on the side street..innere wine hof maybe.. in the centre of town. Top floor is a proper restaurant and the bottom has the wine bar. First went there with Rusty yonks ago. I think its wine only, well they probably have mixed drinks but likely pricier than the above option. If someone knows the place Im blabbing about give a shout please, otherwise it will drive me batty.

Cheers

Showem
You are thinking of the Vinorant in the Alter Hof.
Carm
Moccar in Steinstr by Rosenheimerpl is also cool.
Namenlös on Fallmeyerstr by Hollenzollerenpl is also cool

I can only do sats if its not a hashing day. rolleyes.gif

Thanks Showem. That really was going to drive me batty.
honeebeaz
Great idea to start this thread again, thanks Warna.
Would love to join you guys again. Datewise, either the 10th or the 11th are fine by me.
Maybe we could do it on the Saturday though just so wahoo can get as shitfaced as the rest of us to party all night long too? wink.gif
Tara
I'm changing my preference to November 11/12 and suggesting that going dancing should be an obligatory part of the night smile.gif
rusty
Red Sax: been there once, didn't like it very much but that's just me.
Alterhof: I think it's a bit quiet for a GNO and from memory they don't do cocktails.

But if we are thinking city centre, the lounge bar part at the front of Brenner's is really nice or how about Cafe Roma?

For dancing a 5 minute walk away from these is Atomic Cafe, Prinzip or 8 seasons...
