Meeting English speakers - Where in Munich?

Any Ideas as to how I can get out and about to met some fellow english speakers; I am here alone for 9 nights out of 14 and getting fed up of speaking to my hotel walls...

Any places spring to mind? I am of the volition that there is an English Cafe where people can read a UK newspaper, is this true?

and the list goes on - tonight there's Sex and the City for girls, sushi for the others...or alternatively pick a venue and a date and invite ppl. Organise it and they will come, believe me.

Apart from a dodgy sushi meal in Bangkok, I love it. The only fly in the ointment is that I have to meet my dodgy agent this evening for dinner. I cannot put the poor fella off as he has flown in from Brussels. Any idea for the next meet? As I am completely alone next weekend (24/25) has anything been planned for this?

Again, without wishing to be rude but READ THE GOING OUT SECTION!!! But there will be a lads' night out on 23rd I believe - you'll need 24th and 25th to recover.

OK, I seem to get it now. Trouble is I know nothing of Munich at the mo; best get reading!

To echo Jimbo's words, it couldn't possibly be any easier unless someone calls you up and then arranges a car to collect you from your apartment/hotel and bring you out. Most of the nights out are organised directly on this forum in clear simple words. Look at the first page of the Forum, click on the Events - Toytown Meetups link, look at everything that's arranged and jsut go along to one that takes your fancy. If that doesn't work then click on the Going out - Munich Nightlife link (it's directly above the other one) and have a look for something you like in there. Failing all that then pick somewhere to go and/or something to do yourself and just set a date and a time. If you book them they will come. It really couldn't be simpler. Anyone who signs up for this forum and then says that they cannot meet people for a night out in Munich due to not knowing anyone or any of the places is either blind and waiting for Ed Bob to introduce a braille version or is seriously lacking in the cop-on department.

So just get on with it, get yourself out and have a good time. On the whole you will meet a great bunch of people. I can almost guarantee it.
