Is anyone interested in going to the
Hofbräukeller on Kirchweih Sunday (15 October 2006) to eat roast goose with Kartoffelknödl (potato "dumpling") and cooked red cabbage? I can't find the flyer that I picked up at this week's TT Tuesday, it might have been used as an umbrella. As far as I remember you get the above mentioned meal for €15 (plus drinks). Of course, you can order something else but goose is so messy to make at home ...
Kirchweih is the last real excuse for a piss-up in the Bavarian drinking year, after that all you get is synthetic Glühwein until Fasching starts up.

No definite time yet, somehow 1pm sounds good to me. Any definites please post here so I can start counting heads. I want to make the reservation by Tuesday.
P.S. Last chance to wear your Trachten as well, it'll be too cold soon.

Ha ha, I could only make it if was earlier (like 12) as I need to take the kids to a party at 3. Or if we were sitting down at 1, do you think we would be eating promptly?
I think its already nearly too cold to wear my
dirndl. I guess you can get heavier winter weight ones though...?

Table for 10 then, 2 of them minor. I think 12pm is a better time, you won't have to leave in a rush.
Jenny, how many are you?

Ok, I have reserved for 10 ppl. at 12 pm under my last name - tell them to look for an English-looking name if I'm late. Or PM me for contact details.
I'm looking forward to this: One goose a year!

Thank you for organising this Sarabyrd

. The meal and the company were lovely and the HBK is an incomparably family friendly place. My roast goose was so yummy, not dry or fatty, so I would definitely recommend it!

Thank you all for coming, it felt like a real family outing with all ages from 2 to 46. We were able to enjoy the sunshine in the Biergarten after lunch.

P.S. A film team was taping footage for an advertisement that will be showing on
münchen tv starting this week - we could well be part of their promotion for the €5.55 offer!
