According to
The Register the town of Arlesberg has had a rather big visitor of late that was picked up on
Google Earth. This fellow is estimated to be at least 50m long. So, do be on the watch out for such large creatures if you are travelling between Stuttgart and Nuremberg.

Or for those of you with Google Earth software you can download the

Yep, the bugs grow big here. This one must be the size of a Zepellin!

That is one bug bigger of a bug. Where is Dr Who? Whould he not be dealing with such phenomena?

Don't worry people. I have been staring at that picture for the last 10 minutes and it hasn't moved a muscle, so I think it's dead. That's a relief as I think it was heading our way as well.

Orig. Post from Keyhole/Google Earth ModQuote:

Interesting find - a first. It looks like a thrips, a very small (1mm or so) insect. The size might explain how it got involved in the printing process. The brown glob at the posterior end is bug poop , forced out of the poor critter as it got squished between a glass plate and the film during the scanning process.

No need to worry...I reckon the elephant directly above it is going to squash it any second now.
