My family wants to come to Munich for several days to attend my graduation ceremony smile.gif. My dad said that all hotels in the city he checked are full. Can someone please recommend a hotel preferably in north Munich or Garching where three people could spend a night or two?

Btw. Is there anything happening in Munich around 23rd of October?

Hotel in Garching
Hotel Maria,
Neufahrner-Strasse 5-9,
phone +49 +89 329 320.
Website: http://www.marias-inn.de/

MPQ puts their guests there, so it should be ok.

Star Inn
The Star Inn in Schwabing right off Leopoldstrasse, very close to the Frankfurter Ring may have rooms. It is a new hotel and is sort of like a Days Inn sort of place. Nothing fancy but clean and, well, new.

Call the Fremdenverkehrsamt - they have a list of hotels with available rooms I think.

When my Dad visited he stayed at the Feldmochingerhof -- reasonably priced and about 15-20 minutes from the airport. A bit west of Garching, though. Its walking distance to the U-bahn (u2) / S-bahn (s1?) stop.

There are 2 no frills "novotel" style hotels at Garching hochbruck station, plus a bar/restaurant/hotel thing called the Jagerhof (which does a nice brotzeitteller). Can get info if you want, its not far from me, drop me a PM if you want. The 2 hotels charge about 50 euros a nightish.

The Systems IT trade fair starts on that date. That could be why everything's booked up.

Thank you very much everyone.

@don_riina, I'll ask my dad if he found something. If not I'll PM you. Thank you.
