Souness gets the sackHe's being replaced "temporarily" by Glen Roeder and Alan Shearer.
Here's a gratuitous pic of eye-candy extraordinaire Alan Shearer, looking all mean and moody

Good for Newcastle. Souness should have been sacked ages ago. One of the worst managers in the league.

Feb 2 2006, 1:20 pm
Glen Roeder! oh god , the hammers nearly killed him and now he's back for more!
How about, Djibril Cissé aressted last week for beating his pregnant wife, then getting a warning for "common Assault" and traipsing off back home to do her over a bit more...
Is looking good for our visit their on Saturday then.
The team will be picked by 1 guy with no expereince and another with brain tumour.

Feb 2 2006, 1:31 pm
Shearer? Mean and Moody? Mary fuckin' Poppins more like. Still, can't do a worse job than Souness.
What about Campbell last night - less than happy about being subbed at half time he stormed right out of Highbury and fucked off home. Fair enough though - he's the biggest fucking cunt in the Premiership (marginally beating Savage to that accolade).

Should have been done earlier but I'll take what I can get. Souness was leading the club to the Championship and not in the direction of Europe as he was charged to do.
Sadly after spending 47 million quid on players the club is now short of money. Coupled with the fact that Souness himself receives a fairly hefty 6 figure payoff I think we may struggle to find/afford a decent manager.
Hopefully the board will change from their attitude of Geordie manager first, and if none are available then English, then British and as a last resort foreign and actually appoint the best available manager for the job, regardless of nationality.

not at all biased in your judgement of Campbell, there, Jimbo

I must admit, I'd never thought of him as a prima donna before, but it seems last night's was flounce of R***s-esque proportions, innit?

And apparently Ferdinand was sent off because of kicking the shit out of Savage

. The refs should consider that just like a small kids sometimes need to be strictly told to control their behavior, Savage also sometimes needs a good kicking to let others play their football !!

What? Did I miss something? Did ManU lose last night? oops. Well LIverpool only managed a draw I suppose but better than losing though, and we have 2 games in hand...
Souness out. Good job indeed. Shearer should be the next to go. He is a dangerous influence on Newcastle and has too much to say for himself. Still a semi-decent footballer but way past his sell by date.
Time for Newcastle to do a MAJOR clear out and hope to get back in a couple of years

Yup.. but your next 2 games are against Arsenal and Chelsea. So effectively Man U are 3 points in the clear

After last night's performance, I am not really too concerned about our game with Arsenal, and Chelsea can be beaten
Although conceding a goal against Birmingham is slightly worrying (albeit and own goal)

After Arsenal's performance last night I reckon L'pool will trounce 'em. I certainly hope so. THEN they can start losing again. Spurs for 2nd spot!!!

As soon as Andres and the other new signings gel i reckon Pompey will be a force to eb reckoned with... and tehy have an option to buy as well, so he could be at Pompey for a long while, he's a star of the future i reckon, only 25...

He should have already been a star. He was the best performer for Argentina in the U-21 WC in 2000 or 2001. He was the star player at River too. But then he f#$ked up and joined Wolfburg, where he had a major form slump. Hopefully he will live up to his potential at Pompey.

The Mighty RED (that's Liverpool, Man Poo have lost that mighty title a long time ago) will beat the Arse the way they are playing, and well as for Chelski, Liverpool, as proven in the Champions League last year, can be beaten, but even a win against the arse and a draw is enough for Liverpool.
With GOD back, they should start scoring goals as well, and poor Alonso, feeling sorry for Birmingham last night, and giving them a hand to help relagation, or is he an anti-Newcastle fan, and helping Birmingham out of the relegation zone, and put Newcastle further into it ?

You wont always be that lucky against them, as was shown to you guys in the league match at
ANFIELD !!

Very dodgy goal indeed. But that is the way it goes. The goal was given and Petr Cech stayed on the pitch. Had the goal been disallowed it would have been a penalty and a possible red card

favourite to take over from Souness long-term is Sam Allardyce, according to the bookies
here are the odds:
QUOTE
Sam Allardyce 5/4
Paul Jewell 6/1
Steve Bruce, Sven-Goran Eriksson, Mark Hughes 7/1
Alan Curbishley 8/1
Alan Shearer 10/1
Stuart Pearce, Paul Le Guen 14/1
David Moyes, Kevin Keegan, Louis van Gaal 20/1
David O'Leary 25/1
Kenny Dalglish 33/1
Peter Reid 50/1
Paul Gascoigne 500/1

Agreed with all the above, they might as well give the job to Shearer since he is the puppet master there anyway.
