Well, it was either going to be this closed season or next. To be honest I'm not surprised. I think we should have cashed in last year for 50 mill instead of the 16 mill we're getting this year. Oh well *sigh*

Odds on City at the moment -
FA Cup - 70/1
Leage Cup - 40/1

Real Madrid sack manager CapelloSven-Gormless Eriksson has probably shat himself and is screamin' to sign some light blue paperwork.
Quote of the week...
"It feels like the decision Thierry Henry has had to make regarding going to Barcelona." - Paul Ince, on leaving Macclesfield to manage MK Dons.
There is talk of Real Madrid replacing Capello with Bernd Schuster the Getafe Manager but can anybody see Schuster doing anything! I think Benitez would be a better option he is a European Cup specialist but not league one though!

Do you think there's any chance at all that Sven may not go to City and go to Real instead? Please?
Who knows? he might just being using City as a bargaining chip but then again Paul Ince might be doing the same thing as well! It gonna the be the Paul Ince Gary Owen Dream Team with their names being chanted by the Colin Bell end every other week!

Rafa Benítez has already turned them down.
You are aware that he did win La Liga twice in three years with Valencia, aren't you?
And Bent's off to Tottingham
Bargin!!!
No I forgot he won the League twice with Valencia but he lost the European Cup twice in a row as well with Valencia. If Real Madrid want to win La Liga then and get them to European Cup Final then he would be the perfect man. And let's be honest he no closer to winning the prem now than when he first started with Liverpool!

Maybe, but as I explained above, he has already told them he's not interested.
LFC are a much better side now than when he took over, btw. Agree that we haven't looked like winning the league since he's been in charge but in 2006 we had a record points total since
football was invented the Premiership began in 1992.

I'm sorry to see Luis go - although I'll bet Chelsea are glad to see the back of him - he had a knack of scoring in important games.
Slightly apprehensive about the massive sum being spent on Torres as well. He is an exciting talent with a lot of experience for someone so young but the pressure will be on him to deliver and he has never been a prolific goalscorer. Still, it's proof that the new owners are prepared to back up their rhetoric with cash.

So, West Ham warned they
face further disciplinary action over Tevez.
It seems that West Ham still do not own Tevez' contract, does that not mean that Sheff Utd are right and the Hammers should, in fact, be relegated as they lied when they said they had sorted it?
There's a persistant rumour going around that the PFA are distributing Sven Gormless Eriksson's number...
...and providing training on how to use the Call Blocking service.
