USA looks likely, but aspirational Premiership sides in the South East are in with a shout. I doubt Victoria would allow him to move to Tyneside. I reckon he'd be a great signing, purely in terms of the revenue he'd generate.

Precisely - in Beckham you're buying far more than just a midfielder who is a little bit past his best - you're buying a potentially massive revenue stream. SKY will show more of your games, more shirts will be sold, your global profile will improve. Believe me, Beckham is still hot property, he's just a bit shit at football these days. Better than Davids though.
Hold the presses, looks like they've changed there mind!!
Beckham's no got a clue!!!

Now that Dong looks set to play for Man Utd, I finally have a full team. Although I am still looking for a manager.
Quim; Kaka, Cox, Doodoo, Shittu; Kuntz, Butt, Ballack, Batty; Dong, Dickov
Subs: Bent, Bent, Windass, Ball, Seaman
Ground: Wankdorf Stadium
(As seen on football 365, but worth sharing)

I'd love to her the dulcit tones of John Motson giving it, "And Seaman dribbles out of his box to Cox, who taps it infield to Dong. Butt takes it deep from Dong, doing a lovely dummy past Kaka as he picks out Doodoo from Kuntz. And here is Ballack playing Dickov with Shittu. And My word! Batty bats up the wing, whips in a curved ball over the defence, Dong heads it straight back in to Kaka... and it's a goal!!! They've cum!!!"

The offer from Liverpool was GBP25,000 a week, on the understanding he'd be a squad player.
West Ham offered an incredible GBP60,000 a week, regular first team football, plus a transfer when they enter the Championship next season.
Clearly he's looking after himself here, but I'm at a loss to understand why anyone considers 60k a week good value for an average full-back who in every game looks prone to conceding a penalty and/or getting sent off.
A laughable version of the story can be found
here, which makes him sound like Matthias Sammer circa 1996.

Shitty were in for Mido, but it looks like he is now going to Celta Vigo. Now they are after Collins John, I thought they had just got the name mixed, but then saw he was black

Spurs are after Sheringham

Setting their sights high, I am sure the 40 year old will help raise their expensively assembled side from mid table shyteness...

From the quotes of the week section on the BBC website. This made me laugh!!!
"One bus! You've only got one bus!" A chant made by the Aberdeen fans to the very few Kilmarnock fans that travelled up north to see their team get humped.
From last week's Quotes of the Week. You gotta wonder what they were watching! (Adrian Cooper, UK). Ahem, yes, I think it should have actually said 'thumped'! That's a first - getting an entry in our own Quotes of the Week page! Ed.

I think you'll all agree with me that the best anyone can hope from the Spain/England friendly is that when Joey comes on he punches Gerrad's teeth in and in one fluid movement launches into a flying roundhouse kick that decapitates Lampard. Also, if you english are lucky the collateral damage from the attack might maim Stewart Downing - not that it would stop McClaren from selecting him.

Anyone watching the Spurs v ManPoo game? Can anyone explain to me how Scholes was on the pitch long enough to score the third goal? And why did Ronaldo get a penalty for some top Hollywood acting yet Berbatov was denied? And why, if he was denied for diving, did he not receive a yellow card?
The referee in the game has been exceptionally poor. Mind you, if we went to video analysis, like some people want to see 100% installed, we would probably only be halfway throught the first half anwyay
