Everybody has there favorite partof the city - The residenz museum - The english Garden - Maximillian strasse for those of you who are better heeled. I thought it would be good to organise a Toytown walking tour of the city with the participants also playing the part of the tour guide.
For those who are interested either to just join in or to share with the group your favorite part of the city put your name on the list together with the name of the location/area you can talk to the rest of the group about.
I will pull together a map/route.
One rule though no beerhalls - I think by the 1st of october we will all be in need of a break from Viva colonia et al.
The plan is to start the walk at 10-00 finishing at say 1-30 for lunch. Could be fun!

TT walking tour of Munich city centre

What no beerhalls, call yursel' a pirate! Bahhh get some grog down in yur belly and party wit'all them fine munich lasses...
Of course we will finish up in a beer hall - thanks for the PM's there are now nine lined up for the tour - Anybody else?
I was going to say "Me, me, pick me!" but the date is inconvenient as I'm at the Wiesn on Saturday with 6 Irishmen (and some local TTers). Great idea, have fun on the tour!
P.S. Could you consider postponing the event until after the Oktoberfest? People will be more likely to be able to walk then.

For those of you who don't know the 1st of ocktober is international abstention day first implemented by the Methodist John Wesley ( I can hear you starting to whistle those hymns even now). The bit about non drinking only applies up until 12-00 o'clock so no worries for the Alcoholics or those of us in need of the hair of the dog!
Are there any experts who can provide an insight into the following aspects of the city - The 1920's 1930's , The white rose movement, and of course statistical information relating to brewing and beer consumption.
Personal insights would be good!
There must be at least 12 of us who can get out of our beds and muster outside the Rathaus at 10-30am.
Bad things will happen to those who miss out!
6 Irishmen will complete the party !

So including the Twins there are at least 5 Adults of us plus a baby on it's way. We can meet at 10-00 outside the Rathaus Pharmacy/Apotheke
