Moderated E-mail Discussion Group Connects Professional Women
MUNICH, GERMANY and PORTSMOUTH, NH USA -- JUNE 7, 2004 – WirWIT, the German chapter of the world’s largest online network for women in business, has officially launched in Munich, Germany. WirWIT joins six other European chapters of WorldWIT and more than sixty worldwide. The heart of the networking organization is a free, moderated, English-language e-mail discussion group for the exchange of professional experiences, contacts and ideas. The German chapter is being led by Sandra Eilenstein and Tasha Kostantacos.
Tasha Kostantacos is founder of Kapria International, a marketing and business development firm working with B2B software companies expanding into Europe. Kostantacos specializes in the German market, having lived and worked there for almost 15 years. Now based in Portsmouth, NH, she will draw upon her extensive European and New England IT network to connect women sharing an interest in Germany.
The German-born Sandra Eilenstein, owner of ITPR Information-Travels Public Relations in Munich, spent her childhood in the USA and returned to Europe in 1991. As co-Executive Director of WirWIT, Eilenstein plans to use her multi-cultural upbringing and more than 20 years in various marketing, communications and sales positions.

Munich is the perfect location for a WorldWIT chapter as it is home to many leading technology companies, many of which have established German and / or EMEA operations there. Across Bavaria, more than 60,000 students are enrolled in information technology, mathematics, science and engineering programs. In addition, the Bavarian State government invests millions annually in local initiatives and projects aimed at advancing development and increasing opportunities in the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) sector.
