I have been looking around for a while to see if any of the stores in Munich (clothes stores) provide a store card service and as yet i haven't found one. In the UK i couldnt go into a store without them trying to give me a card, and i miss my topshop card. So if anyone knows of any of the stores that offer this please let me know.
Thanks
Sazzy.

I dotn really care about the payback things i have a few of those and never really use them enough to get the benefits, what i am looking for is like a credit card except you can usually only use in one store or any stores they have in their group, like topshop/dorothy perkins etc

Use a normal credit card? You can get credit cards where you don't have to pay off 100% at the end of the month.
Or if you start a new job and need a new wardrobe then get a bank loan or use an overdraft for a short while.
These store credit cards from UK retailers are I'm fairly sure expensive for the consumers and without having a go at you or snobby are aimed at the lower end of the dumb consumer market. the X % discount they offer you upon opening one they SOON have back in, with interest.
Germany is a lot less run on credit than the UK is.

the store cards in the uk are currently being investigated for the obscene amounts of interest that they charge. credit cards are bad enough but these are ridiculous.
plus as monkstown says, credit cards and the concept of running up various debts are fairly uncommon here. i for one think it's a good idea since the average personal uk debt is somewhere in the tens of thousands and that's not including mortgages.

I don't understand what you want, but the clothes shop 'Hallhuber' has a card.

just a small note: Payback and Happy digits both offer a credit card, not just bonus points.

Wörhl do one too, or they used to. Haven't been in there for a long time.

Hmm, that's what she meant.
Karstadt and
Hertie have some kind of card, but I don't know if they are credit cards or just discount/points cards.
I think, given the fact that in general credit cards are not very popular over here, there shouldn't be many stores which offer such services.

I think i have confused people a little bit(my fault for assuming everyone is from the uk or knows what a store card is)
A store card is a card which is used similar to that of a credit card but is not a credit card, you get a store card and it has a credit limit on it, and you pay a monthly payment every month, the interest rates vary on them depending on what credit limit you have, but these can only be used in one store on in stores that have partner companies.
Hope that helps a little,
P.S
I dont want a credit card because then i will be too tempted to pay with it wherever i go, so having a store card gives me restrictions on where i can use it.

Know what you mean Sazzy but the word on the street is that they are shit and expensive and not so widespread in Munich.
You think only being able to get over priced credit in only one chain/group of shops is a bonus?
That's why the chains rub their hands over these cards and why they are getting investigated by the Office of Fair trading otr whatever.

You've not lived in Germany very long have you? A hell of a lot of places don't take credit cards here, so you're restricted simply by the fact that they're not accepted.

What I really want is a separate card for each shop that I ever go to. That way I would get to carry around dozens of different cards and each day so many statements would arrive through the post that I wouldn't be able to keep track of how much money I owed whom.
Oh wait a minute, no I don't.
