Meet up in Nuremberg

I am looking for friends in the Nuremberg / Erlangen area. I am stuck here for 3 weeks thanks to Siemens. Anyone want to meet up?

Try the Kings Arms in Nuremberg, you can always find some English speakers in there or the Irish bars. There is an Irish bar in Erlangen called 'Wheelers' I think.

The 'Kings Arms' is my local pub but I'm not sure when I am next in there, but there are normally some people around who you can talk too.

Hi Sharon, I've only been out one night in Nürnberg so far, when my pimp ehmm agent arrived to town, and spent a large part of his profits on a very fine Italian meal. Then again I only started here last week.

I don't know the King's arms but as you were wise enough to add a link, I'm sure I can find it, and would certainly look forward to a meet-up. It looks to be on the edge of the red light district? Not the centre surely!!!

I'm glad you like my login, it has the advantages that it can be shortened to MAM, and that people tend to remember it, even as they forget me.

Tonight Thursday doesn't work for me. But I am around next week, in between looking for a flat. I'd suggest Monday or Tuesday. Nürnberg is easier for me, but Erlangen isn't such a long treck. What innoculations do I need?

My word Emily, you must be American? I don't have a car here either, but even if I had I wouldn't drive. There are trains four times an hour taking on average 20 minutes. And parking in the Altstadt in Nürnberg would be a nightmare, as would the issue of driving back after a few beers.

I'll get back to you on Monday about Wheelers at 19:00, depends on what I'm doing about hunting for flats.

I have an appointment in Nürnberg on Monday until 18:45 so Nürnberg is better for me but around 8pm, or Tuesday evening?...or both??

Nürnberg is really a better option for me in the evening for next week as I will probably end up driving some people back to Nürnberg from work.

Alright, since the majority is looking at Nuremburg. I will change my plans for Monday to Nuremburg. I have heard that Kings Arms is a good place to go.

I think this could be the first TT meeting in Nürnberg...FINALLY!

I will try and get there a little before 8 so I can score a section for us.

I will be there for sure, but don't worry about having to get there early. The Kings Arms is more of a 'regulars' bar so at that time of the evening it shouldn't be too busy!

I just thought it would be a good first meeting point as we are all English speakers! (apart from it also being my local bar) and it is so close to 'weiser turm' u-bahn.

When you get to the Main Train Station (HauptbanHof), you take the U1 towards Lorenzkirsche direction and Weiser Turm is the stop after Lorenzkirsche. As you come out of the U-Bahn station and head 'right' you will see a big church on the right. The pub is at the back of the church on the corner of the street (unfortunately close'ish to a red light area, but NOT in it)!
