TT Tuesday at Bachmaier Hofbräu

I'm on my way there now.

For those who are still hesitating to come down, dixit an sms from Keydeck:

It may look like a private party with tv cameras and loads of insanely hot women in dirndls but we have a reservation - name: Murphy - and a room down the back of the bar...
Worth checking out innit just...

How serendipitous.
wahoo
You have no idea. Talk about the creme de la creme. Interesting evening to say the least.

Oooohh i missed the creme de la creme.

Well it was a great night, if a little shaky at the start. To save keydeck having to explain things yet again, I'll have a go. He'd reserved, and they although they mentioned it might be tricky to have the area we wanted, they made absolutely no mention of some guest list only schikimiki tracht night. He arrived to find some snotty bouncer on the door, which I would guess is what greeted everyone who had arrived earlier and been turned away. After a rather stressful half hour of being shunted here and there he persuaded them to allow us exclusive use of the back room, where we were from then on. I do of course feel sorry for those that didn't get in, but the twenty or so of us in the back room had a great night. Instructions were left with the bouncer to point anyone through to the bar, although whether they were cooperating or not is unclear.

Nobody at fault but Backmeir's, and to be fair they acknowledged that they had messed up and tried to make amends.

Yes it worked out nicely in the end, mainly due to Keydeck's persistence, but… this is the second time Bachmaier has done this to us, earlier in the year the same thing happened to Darkknight's Friday night thing - he had reserved for a large group, but when we came they just turned us away due to a private party, and there was no backroom exception. Impossible really, but I guess if you're on Leopoldstrasse you get away with impossibilities like that.

Wow what a great night! My first ttt [in a long time]. It was good meeting everybody.

Should be an interesting posting in the gallery from Keydeck later!

Funny to hear that the same thing has happened twice there, it would be nice to hang out in the front bar one day!

Thanks Keydeck for sorting everything out, it was pretty stressful for you at some points, judging by the state of your shirt.

It turned out to be a great night and we did have our own private room afterall!

Nice to meet RedReitenHood, Benpanter and RubberDuck, hope to see you around again. Speakfreak, I will be waiting for a music situation update on P1 on Saturday nights before I venture there again. Chicago, I will be needing that Ukraninan mafia contact, Arshoo, remind me about squash and saunas after OF.

I, too, offer kudos to Keydeck for pulling this all together for the rest of us. Despite a tenuous beginning, I think everyone had fun and it was certainly entertaining to see all the befuddled faces of Munich's well-to-do when they saw us (the only non-tracht wearers) and thought, "who the hell are you?" as we had our own private room.

Thanks again, Keydeck, for all your hard work!

Downer: The "eigentlicher" Manager who insisted that we leave as not in Trachten. I asked for the "uneigentlicher" Manager and said I was in my national costume (t-shirt, jeans, bare feet in sneakers).

Upper: The kitchen staff who finally got to join the party and get in contact with the guests.
The food was only average except for the cheese - about 10 different kinds from Brie to a delightfully smoky Provolone.

Keydeck, thank you so much for the effort you put into this and the stubborness that gave us that charming back room.

Funniest part: When the Schickimicki guests kept popping into our room coz we were having a much better time than they were.
RedReitenHood
The girl at the front door was really nice to me although not much help!

I ended up going back home to check the TT website and go back to the bar to try and find out where the heck everyone was...

All in all it was totally worth it. Thanks to everyone who made me feel so welcome!
And a big thanks to Keydeck for organizing the event.

I'll be sure to come out again soon!

Cheers to Keydeck - great job on handling a difficult situation and taking care that as many people as possible could find the group and get into the "there to be seen, oooh, is that Paris Hilton!" type private party. Well done!
Keydeck
Cheers guys. It was a bit stressy at the start but worked out very well eventually I thought.

The manageress was very helpful in getting it sorted. Of course it didn't hurt our cause that she had a pile of VIPs arriving and a TV camera pointed directly at her.

It's a testament to how little I know that I didn't recognise a single celeb at the do. The girls modelling the dirndls were actresses and the like so if anyone recognises anyone feel free to mention it.

Photos are in the gallery so as usual if anyone wants anything removed just send me a PM. Unless you're one of the dirndl models in which case you should send me a PM and your phone number.

why no one told me to eat food last night is amazing, me head feels like a the tar under a roadroller!!

was a good night out, the people from squash entered a bit late but we got nice seats outside and of course there was this continous flow of gorgeous women in drindls...one of the women there was in the midst of a break up and would stand right next to us going "dont call me anymore, this relatioship is over, you understand over, never ever call me again" course as soon the conversation was over we offered to buy her a drink and to come sit with us

inside the women were better, what with the TT women being there and all.

Nilpfred - next time
Honeebeaz - hope work wasnt as much a bother as you thought it would be today
Rusty - 1 yoyo or 2?
Renia - after OF squash, Check! Buy the short dirndl dear! doesnt she have the legs for it!
BG - *pop*
Bern - please call me for that lapdance
Tiff - did you sing?
Rubberduck - they are not schikimiki but sheeshimeeshi!
Redreitenhood - good to meet you, you're ok even though you are a lightweight! TT would fix that.

was nice meeting all you ladies...
