South African passport renewal from Munich

How and where to do this

I need to change my passport. I called the South African Consulate here in Munich and they told me what I need to do. And that was, sending them a formal letter asking them ( telling them) that I would like to change my passport bla bla bla

So I did this. I wrote the letter and got the stuff they needed and sent it off to: South Africa Consulate General
P.O. Box 201932
80019 Munich
..only the post office sent it back! I don't know were to send the stuff to. Can some one please tell me?
Kay
If you were able to talk to them once you should be able to do so again, so why don't you just call them and ask?
RB-Tee
Yeah, this is also the postal adr. they have on the website (can the women I spoke to AND the website be wrong???). Will keep that in mind to mention it to them when I call them (again) on Monday then...

Maybe, just maybe, it's...

Generalkonsulat der Republik Südafrika
(General Consulate of the Republic of South Africa)
Sendlinger-Tor-Platz 5
80336 München

Tel. 089- 23 11 63- 0
Fax 089- 23 11 63 63
E-Mail info@saconsulate.de

Edit: Ah, I see where you got that postal address now. Hmm, odd.

Don't know if things changed, but when I did it, they mailed all my stuff to South Africa. That is where it gets processed, and they then mail it back to you...all in all, it took 3 months.

When you get a letter back, it normally lists the reason it was sent back - whether insufficient funds or unknown address or whatever. What did yours say?
RB-Tee
It said:"Emfänger/Firma unter der angegebenen Anschrift nicht zu ermitteln"

The funny thing is, when I called them the first time, I had the website open in front of me. And as I was speaking to the lady to find out where I am suppose to send the stuff, she gave me the postal adr. on there website... dry.gif

Hmm, well, I take it that is what will happen, eventually... All I did now was ask them to "send me the right papers"(and I had to state my reason why I want to apply for a new passport, with proof).

Just gave the South African Consulate-General in Munich a call and asked them what (the hell) there postal adr. is as the one they gave me last time I called aswel as the one on there website does not work.
So, for those who might need to do this or send something to them in the future...
Here it is(and hopefully it is the right one!!!):

South African Consulate-General
PO Box 151709
80050 Munich
