Cinema: X-Men II - Who wants to see it?

Went to see X-Men II last night. To be honest it's complete toss. Don't bother. Only redeeming elements are Kelly Hu, Halle Berry and Rebecca Romijn.

Well I thought it was really good (and so did everyone else I've spoken to). I enjoyed the first one, but I thought the second was better. Halle Berry's acting was as bad in the second as it was in the first, but apart from that I've no complaints.

Actually I forgot to mention, I did get a lot of amusement out of Kurt Wagner.

Must agree with keydeck, Xmen2 was a waste of money. Maybe if I was 16 years old and would have gone to see it for special effects ... storyline was predictable from the very first minute - but what I don't understand is that not one Toytowner has poked any fun at the mutant from the Munich circus. Maybe keydeck and company had too many beers during the movie to notice this smile.gif It was worth a good laugh! Another odd thing about this movie is the amount of police that get killed! ... oh well enough said ... lets see if i'm able to excite the Toytown msg board.

Ah but I did. That would be Kurt Wagner to whom I referred. Liked his character a lot. Even his "Guten Tag" had everyone chuckling.

I was a Guest there for a second. Weird!

So was I (a guest that is!) ... Editor Bob must be fooling around with the scripts again smile.gif

saw it last night and liked it better than the first. the action was just as i had wanted. because i watched it with a mostly german crowd (in english), i got really confused when i suddenly heard knight-crawler speaking german and i could understand!! his character wasn't funny per se, but the german's enjoyed hearing him speak english with a good german accent.

but admittedly i kept hoping wolverine would walk around more with that tight tee. mmmm. lecker. biggrin.gif

does dr. jean become one with her surroundings?

p.s. does kelly hu survivie? i thought she got shot up with some metal liquid shit. didn't get that.

You'll have to see III to find out what happens about Jean (or read the comics). There was a clue at the end of the film though, I think.

Surprised Beast only got a few seconds as he was always my favourite character in the comics, but maybe I'm showing my age and he isn't in them any more.

Damn. And there I was a guest. Oi Bob! Sort it!

I was reading a thread about it on a (completely unrelated) newsgroup, and it was suggested that she might come back as some sort of cyborg - apparently that's what she was supposed to be in the comics.

As Guest points out, it seems highly likely that Dr Jean will be coming back, although this appears to have been done slightly differently to the comics, from what I can gather.

Which one was "the Beast", and where did he show up?
