Hutcho
Place: Hacker Festzelt (main front doors to begin with)
Date: 7.45am Sunday 17.Sep.2006
Who: declare your attendance on the sign-up sheet

I'll be down there on time, along with a few other people. As people have mentioned on the original thread, we'll need a good number of people to secure tables at this time. There are really no guarantee's of getting a seat or even getting in if you show up later. PM me for my phone number if needed.

We'll be there that early in the morning, this is probably what the tent will look like. smile.gif

See you all there.
Inflatablewoman
I'll be there... tight leather shorts are primed!!!
pootle
I thought we were getting to Braurosl early! ouch
mrbrain
As mentioned before, I'm in.
honeebeaz
Sounds good, I'm there too.
Kza
Same, we will be there as early as possible too, looking forward to it.
JOB
Wizadora and I will be there with 2 others.
mrbrain
I have the feeling that we are going to need several tables...

We should be ok as we have a lot of people coming early doors. We managed to get 3 tables at the shottenhammel last year no worries.
Hutcho
No problems. If everyone who wants to get in shows up at 07:45, and we go in multiple doors, we'll get enough tables no sweat, even if we have 100 people.
mrbrain
Here is a link for a good map of the Oktoberfest with tent locations.

And here is a seating plan for the Hacker tent:
Hutcho
Nice work. Goal would be tables in rows C - H I reckon. If not, even around the back of the stage can be quite good. Are the boxes are the ones that will be reserved later in the day?
Kza
Near the chicks toilets is good too so you can sleaze while they are lining up.
mrbrain
D through H is the way to go. The boxes will all be reserved.
bluedave
Will get there at some point but 7.45 on a Sunday morning ? ohmy.gif

Not even for Shakira ! wink.gif

mrbrain
I'm predicting a 5 Maß consumption day. Nothing record shattering, but enough for moi! I'll also bring some cards to pass the time before they start serving.

Drinking games!

I'll be there bright and early...who needs sleep anyway smile.gif This should turn out good!
Eleanor Rigby
We will aim for 7:45 as well. No guarantees we'll make it but we'll aim for it anyway.
coolerking
I'll come along but 7.45 is way too early also need a full english breakfast to last the day. 4 or 5 maß is normally my limit but sometimes get second wind if you know what i mean
Hutcho
Tell the people who tried to get into the Hacker Tent at a little before 9am last year that 7:45 is too early smile.gif

You can read about last years one here:

TT Oktoberfest :: Hacker-Pschorr meet up

Note, a lot of us didn't get in let alone get a seat, and spent the day outside in the beer garden.

As soon as you get in the tent, you can get some breakfast.. quit whinging, the early start makes the beer taste better smile.gif
the Boy From Bozlem
did i ever say that I hate you all mad.gif

fookers
sparty
I'll be in town as well...although i don't think I'm gonna make it that early...

Ok, that made amusing reading, especially the pirate talk WTF?

7.45am sounds like it will be perfect.
RedReitenHood
Sounds fun! I'll be there bright and early!

It will probably be my first TT Event...no better way to start my life here in Munich!

I do have one question. Will everyone be in traditional dress? I don't know if a Dirndl's in the budget this month for me. sad.gif

Thanks!
Kza
A lot of the people going have tracht I believe, but I and im sure a few others dont, so not everyone will be. Its certainly not compulsory, I hope tongue.gif
Renia
I take it that once you are in the tent you cannot leave...and be able to get back in?? Or is this only past a certain time?
SleeplessInMunich
Ach, there is always a way back in if you try hard enough.
Renia
Does it involve flirting with security wink.gif ?
RB-Tee

HollyGolightly
Like I said before Ill be there as well biggrin.gif
Hutcho
I'll be wearing my Lederhosen and I'm sure a lot of others will be in Tracht too. If you want to do it cheap, go fo C&A. I saw an ad and they have cheap Drindls for about 70 euros, and Lederhosen for around 60..

After the tent fills up, which will probably be around 10am, it wouldn't be a very good idea to leave it as it would be quite difficult to get back in.
Hutcho
Ok, we now have a sign up sheet

Put your name down if you'll be there.
DJ_Jazzy_Guff
Don't buy them C&A lederhosen cos they're God awful.

However, if you only want a pair to have a laugh in for a couple of days, it might be the right choice. I can tell you that the inner lining will definitely tear, which means you can buy them, use them at the fest and then take them back and get a full refund. Worked for someone I know last year... However, they look as cheap as they are.
tigress
I look at the dirndls in C&A (the one nr Hauptbahnhof) and they had nowt

I found a great little dirndl/tracht outlet nr stachus.
Walk down kaufingerstrasse from stachus and take the first road right, before allerei, think is swatch or a phone shop on one corner. Just after the western jeans place on the left (with that huge pair of jeans outside) is a little tracht shop. (dont mistake it with the place on the right thats a bit old, fuddy duddy and expensive). this place has short, midi and long dirndls, blouses and aprons, all different colours. Also at the back in the right corner there is a box full of underskirts for 4.90 for that final touch.
Most dirndls are 59.90, aprons most are 14.90 and blouses around 20euro. Just dont expect service!

For the past 5 years I have always bought the more expensive traditional dirndls but you wear and wash them so much that they are looking tatty after 1 oktoberfest and after 2 well...so this year I went for the cheap option, still look good, still fairly traditional dirndls but fashionable colours and if they are trashed after 1 year then so be it, compared to what I paid out for the others in the past its worth it and if I need to buy a new one next year then I can do so and get maybe a different colour next time depending on fashion and my taste.
I paid 180 euro for my last dirndl 2 years ago, thats dirndl only no apron or blouse. Just bought 2 dirndls, 2 aprons a blouse and underskirt for 170euro so ...

And here is a seating plan for the Hacker tent:

Anyone by chance got a plan like that for the Schottenhammel tent... unsure.gif
Panama
What if I show up around 7 in the evening? Will someone be there still?
Eleanor Rigby
Probably but the chances of you getting in are going to be nil unless you've got a 50 for the doorman.
Panama
Hmnm, well I will give it a try then. Maybe I would need some contact info to locate the rest of the group if I actually manage to get inside the tent.
mrbrain
There maybe a seating chart on the Schottenhamel tent's website.
Keydeck
laugh.gif Brain, Brain, Brain.
Panama
Huh? I meant like a way of contacting someone from the TT group. Something like a handy number, a beeper, a satellite phone, smoke signal receptor, whatever.

Edit: ohh, that's what Brain meant.
Keydeck
Panama, PM the people on the sign-up list and ask for a mobile number.

However, know that people probably won't hear it ring and if they do answer probably won't be able to hear you speak. SMS is the way forward.

Read these handy tips. Some of the info is a touch out of date (like the suggested arrival times), but most is still valid.
Jeeves
Go for it, Panama. I wish you luck!
But do be prepared to be disappointed.
Eric the Hamster
This is going to kill me - flying to Munich on Monday evening then driving to dillingen (couple of hours away) for a few days with work.

Back in Munich on Thursday but have work commitments at the Wiesen on Thursday. Meeting on Friday then fly home in the evening. I just can't do it.

Very bad planning on my part but other things on my mind as I have recently split up from Quarblotz.

If anyone who remembers me wouldn't mind putting me up for a couple of nights I could try to rearrange my flights with work and come on saturday night and come to see you all and have a few social beers at the wiesen. Or stay a bit longer and fly back on the followinf sat ot sunday.

Do not want to impose myself on anyone, especially at this short notice but please PM me if you would be willing to put me up.

Cheers

Kevin
Hummingbird
Can't do Sunday sad.gif Will there be other opportunities throughout the next two weeks?

PS. Are there really people that go everyday? Just reading about how a Dirndl could be ruined in one year intrigues me. I have had mine for 3 years and it still looks new. This must obviously indicate that I need to get out more!
Scogs
is there a 7:45 on a sunday morning??? ohmy.gif
