Saturday evening drinks - 10th July 2004

Anyone fancy meeting for a few beverages on Saturday? I'm in town for the weekend and it'd be great to meet up with a few people. I know I've not exactly been gone a long time, but I'm trying to ease myself into it gently.

I read something about people going clubbing on Saturday or summat but I'm too long in the tooth for that kind of carry on.

If the weather is nice I'll probably go beer garden and if the rain gods decide to take an untimely leak then a pub will be on the cards. I'll pick a spot closer to the day depending on who's coming along and what the Wetter man says. The only real stipulation is that there's somewhere for Badger to put her gammy leg up onto. That and of course some top quality beverages. We want the finest wines available to humanity. We want them here, and we want them now.

dislocated my kneecap. don't even have an excuse, was only getting on my bike. so basically it burns down to I stood on one leg and fell over. not a very good story, sadly. I was relatively lucky under the circumstances; didn't break or tear anything and ONLY have to wear the f**ing brace for ONLY five f**ing weeks. Well doen to me.
So I guess pool is just a little bit out of the question for me but don't mind just watching.

If you want to play pool, the play in Ostbahnhof is great, was there a little while ago, and had a good evening.

I would be up for playing some pool too. Maybe I'll join on Sat...

Will definitely try to be there sat, although Spider-man calls us away also. The shelling salon is my building so that won't be much of a trip. I agree that the place pretty much sucks and is as smokey as the day is long, but it's the people- not the venue. I don't know the Ostbahnhof place but it has to be better. Let's pray for sunshine.

Rightio so, if the weather is behaving itself on Saturday my intention is to go to the Augustiner beer garden on Arnulfstr. It's probably the easiest to get to given that the Badger can't be tramping all over the place. In the event of rain I'd fancy paying a visit to Kilian's. Having been out of town for a couple of weeks I feel like going for the simple options.

I am kinda new. I would like to join but I am not sure wher Killian is. Is it the one with Australian bar (underground) near the church in Marienplatz? If not, could someone please post the directions.

Also, how do I recognize the group? Obviously everyone speaks english at Kilians. Anybody from last week's Sangeet currynight going there so that I could recognize a face or two? Thanks.
