S-Bahn delays due to bomb scare at Pasing

I had to wait like 30 minutes for an sbahn in Giesing around 5:45...and the Sbahns going into the city were only going as far as Ostbahnhof due to 'polizeieinsatz,' so anyone know what happened?

Bomb scare at Pasing. I was in Karlsplatz at 5:15, and all of a sudden I heard over the loudspeaker, Polizei and trains running west are delayed. No reason given. So I hightailed it out of there on the U5 to Heimeranzplatz and waited for S7 from there. It was about 10 minutes late.

My German sucks... is it 'bomb scare' as in they found another of the seemingly endless old WWII bombs laying around, or 'bomb scare' as in terrorists?

I think in London, this would be referred to as a 'suspect package' incident.

Not one of those WWII nor a real terrorist bomb. Some one who left a bag to make the others think that it is a bomb. According to the police it seems to be the same person who did this a few days ago in Moosach. But they still haven't got him/her.

All this terrorist sh*t really blows. I am starting to get really scared. Don't even like to go on the trains anymore. Just keep hearing this tick-tock in my head, waiting for Munich to be next.

Am I just paranoid? Any informed opinions out there?

What I meant, arshoo, is that perhaps there are some TTers (which I think there are) who know more about the level of threat to Germany from the known terrorist groups, and the level of threat specifically in Munich from reports, from the news, from their own research, etc. For example, I heard that Al-Queda (sp?) has said they would not target Germany, as Germany opposed the war in Iraq. (Probably best not to take a terrorist's word, but thats implied). But I heard this informally, kinda like my best friend's brother's girlfriend's mother said... that kinda thing.

To the others, yes I know I have a better chance of being hit by a bus, run over by a car, trip down the stairs and break my neck, etc. But I am informed of those risks. What bothers me is that I don't feel very informed of the risks regarding terrorist bombings, etc. London freaked me out - that was too close to home.

Hope that is more clear... I am a worrier by nature anyway. What can I say.
