I know, the week's still young and we all have a couple of days to go before it's weekend again. But I really need some big night out this weekend, so here's the deal. No BNO or GNO this time, just head out with as big a group as possible and dance the night away!

So how about going to the 4004 on Friday? We could start around 9pm for some pre-drinks and head to the 4004 afterwards around 12pm. The weather forecast is terrible for next Friday so I would propose Ned Kelly’s fir the pre-drinks, since it's close to the S-Bahn which can easily get us to the 4004.
Big C
It's gonna be my last weekend to go out partying in Munich. But I've been to 4004 loadsa times, how about a night ending in Kalinka? ph34r.gif
Shaggy
Thx for the exellent BBQ efforts. You are the party maker!

I'll be there.
DrivinWest
Go ahead and twist my arm...

OK, I'm in. We should try to get some new people out as well; there's quite a few newbies here and it would probably do all of us well to meet.
Big C
Oh or maybe Atomic Cafe?
3 Lions
Sorry not this weekend for me sad.gif

Paid out quite a lot of money this month so need to tighten my belt for a couple of weeks rolleyes.gif
bareftbeachbum
its gonna my last weekend here too...there best be something good going on!
Big C
Well I've got a friend here as well. Planning on drinking friday and don't care about music then clubbing on Saturday - when I do care about the music.
Jimbo
Nor for me - I'm most likely gonna be out of town chilling out. Though I will say this, I wouldn't count on the weather forecast just yet - it'll change a few times before the weekend probably.
Big C
Or how about somewhere new?
I've still never been to Ballhaus. It's looks very cheap and cheesy and looks like it might rival Nachtgalerie in status.
http://www.festspielhaus.org/

Check it out.
bubblylady
I would love to go to Ballhaus or the one next to it (not Alabamahalle)
I dont like 4004 and it is a nightmare with a big group! Then again, it is not that far from the cinema, for those who wanna go there...
A big NONO to Klainka, how can you guys like it???
And yeah, there were soooo many new people at the bbq, would be cool to see them again.
Big C
So let's go to Ballhaus! It'll be fun, new, cheap and other wonderful things! cool.gif

And as for Kalinka - coz it's different and people actually smile and enjoy themselves.
gus1933gus
Atomic Café is great, however, will we get a big group in. May have to go early.
VDB
@ Big C, have been in Kilinka last weekend, I like the place ph34r.gif but not going to go again that fast back there.

I considered Atomic cafe, since I really like that place, but we'll never get in with a big group...

The Alabama halle is great if you want to get reaallly drunk, but you have to be there early in the evening because the cheap beer only lasts until 12, I think. And besides my intention wasn't to put up a 'how drunk can you get' kind of night.

The great thing with 4004 is that we get in with a big group no matter how late we arrive there, and as mentioned it's close by for those going to the sneak preview. But as always if there are better ideas around, I'm up for it!
Big C
Yeah fair enough. So let's go to Ballhaus then! As suggested above. Durrr!
We always do 4004, let's do something new and exciting! smile.gif
VDB
has somebody been to Balhaus? Might be nice to know what kind of place it is before heading there. I have some prety bad experiences with the 'let's go there and see what it is' kind of nights.
Big C
Check out the website URL I gave above.
It's in old television studios I believe. It's playing party music and has cheap drinks. I'm always seeing posters around the place for it.
Anyways we'll be in a group - I'm sure we can make it fun, if it's not!

I like 4004 ph34r.gif
bubblylady
I have been there, it is not so bad and they have a nice outside area.
I think it is smaller then Nachtgallerie, but same style.
And BarCode and Alabamahalle is right next door.
Big C
@matchNL - I like 4004 as well, but it doesn't mean we can't go elsewhere. We might like Ballhaus more - we won't know until we've tried.

So bubblylady's been there - it's all ok and there are other options. Outdoor bit sounds good too.

@vdb - are you convinced yet, or would you like a signed letter from the dutch embassy? wink.gif
ellewood
why not try MilchBar?
Big C
They won't like a big group of expats. Seen people being turned away from there because too many guys, too many people etc. OK in small groups though.
tartan
Ballhaus looks good to me, new experiences and all that.

Don't much fancy Milch bar...
T
becs
Ballhaus is a bit of a dive but probably bearable in a big group huh.gif
VDB
oke Balhaus it is then.

@ Big C, I don't really need it but a signed letter from the dutch embassy would be cool, can you arrange it?
Big C
@vdb - I'll see what I can do!

(quietly to himself) Oh shit, this Ballhaus thing had better work out.
ellewood
@BigC

have u ever been to MilchBar on a Saturday?
Big C
@ellewood - yeah a few times and on fridays. It's just general "dance" music which normally ends up turning into German pop tunes with a 4/4 beat over them.
They do have good one off events there occasionally though.
Jeff
I'll probably be up for it!
Big C
VDB - I just got this letter from the Dutch Embassy to pass on to you!

Dirk Van-Dutsch Alscho,
You aare required to alscho to go to der Ballhaus on ze Daate von Saaturdaaee 10. July. Iiif you do nut go you wiiill be taaken alsho baak to Niederlande.

yours from the baack of the throat,

The Dutch Ambassador - Arnoldus Van Dijck

...alsho!

VDB
@Big C. Respect man, never know your connections in the diplomatic circles are that good biggrin.gif .

Sorry all, I will be partying the night away with beautiful Russian women in St. Petersburg, so won't be able to make it.
Jimbo

with beautiful Russian women in St. Petersburg

Russian women? In St. Petersburg??? Shurely shome mishtake. St. Petersburg is the gay/ladyboy/trans-gender-somethingelse capital of Europe...so be careful Pepper - don't do anything I wouldn't do ohmy.gif
pepper
There has to be some Russian women in St. Petersburg, oh.. if its the gay capital of the world, won't the straight women be looking for a straight person somewhere !
Jimbo
But how will you know that it's a woman...until it's far, far, too late? wink.gif
Big C
Depends, if (s)he's post-op, he might never know ohmy.gif
bubblylady
back to the topic: Do you know how to get there by public transport?
Is there still the bus collecting ppl at Alte Heide U6?
@Pepper: where was your gf from again? Is she not your gf anymore?
Big C
(for Pepper) Bulgaria I think.

Yes there are still buses from Alte Heide. Or other options read here:

pepper
@ bubblylady - Yes Big C is right, she's from Bulgaria, but things have never been sure, and still arn't. Who knows, men will never understand women, and as soon as we get close, you bloody change the rules again !

But am looking forward to a break, and St. Petersburg I have heard is really nice.
Showem
St. Petersburg should be nice. Enjoy the mosquitos.

Mmmm. Friday night boogie woogie music. Tempting.
Hazza
There's a pretty good chance I'll come along after the sneak preview
photojenny
Alabahma Halle and the other "clubs" are just across the street from where I work, you can either take the 43 Bus from Alte Heide, but you can also walk from U6 Alte Heide which should take only 10-15 minutes.

But are you sure you really want to go there?! The whole area looks really somehow cheap and dodgy...therefore I think I will have to give this big night out a miss...
Bubble Gum
Oh I've been to Ballhaus! The crowd is a little young (but not as young as Nachtgalerie) and there are a couple of clubs in a row that you can pick from. It should be fun in a big group. I took the night bus home from there last time which went straight down Leopold strasse. I think it was about 2 in the morning.

I'm up for that!
Bubble Gum
It's about as dodgy as Nachtgalerie, which isn't too bad.
VDB
IMHO Allabamahalle is the place where they invented the word 'cheap' for a club, but don't (yet) know about the rest of the places in the area.

And cheap doesn't you cant have a good time out there, I'm still a big fan of the NaGA ph34r.gif
VDB
So it looks like it's going to be a good crowd at Friday... Let's party the night away cool.gif .
tartan
Is there a good place near to meet before Ballhaus?
T
JoolyBooly
I seriously suggest we meet up somewhere first, a lot can happen in a "10-15 minute walk", as I find out to my cost at the barbecue (well, not at it, as I never found it) unsure.gif

My sister is flying in from London so I guess we'll be coming out around 10...
@ VDB can you PM me your mobile no. this time? rolleyes.gif
You'd never believe I'm not blonde...

How about meeting in kilians or Millenium Café (Giselastrasse) on the way?
Big C
I reckon somewhere by Münchner Freiheit or Giselestrasse because it's on the way to Alte Heide.
