Hey I need to get something pierced before I go back to ny next week, any suggestions of good places? Sterile and not too expensive?

Thanks!
Showem
Don't have a clue about prices and hygiene, but there is a place on Schulstrasse near Rotkreuzplatz. I figure I have enough holes in my head (and body) so I've never been inside, but I'm pretty sure they do it all.
Big C
There's a piercing stand at Tollwood.
Hazza
I would recommend Medusa. Altheimer Eck 5 - right behind Kaufingerstrasse. They re-did a piercing for me (Cartilidge part of the ear) almost 3 years ago, and I went there on a recommendation. Very professional, high standard of hygene, excellent post piercing advice, etc. I thought it was a bit pricey but worth it. They'll pierce anything too!!

Cut Glass Piercing, Müllerstrasse.
erdbeere
hmm why dont u wait till u get back to ny? i think piercings are more expensive over here.. .when i got my tongue pierced (this was like 3.5 yrs ago so things coulda changed by now) i had to pay over 200DM... i dont remember exactly how much but it was prolly like 130$ or sumfin... and i know ppl in the states who have gotten tongue pierced at good places for like 50$ ... so <shrug> next time i get sumfin done (prolly not a piercing but another tattoo maybe) its gonna be in the states

the stand at tollwood is too expensive i think. and as for what i want to pierce im deciding that at the moment. i have 9 (6 of which in me ears k!) already so dont want to overdo it either. the name cut glass piercing sounds a bit harsh but ill check it out..and @ erdbeere- youre right, it is cheaper when i get it done in ny, esp in east village.

Not a bad little place on Feilitzschstrasse, called Wildcat I think... About 5 mins, on your left, as you walk from Muenchener Freiheit. ..
If you hit Biedersteinerstr, you've gone too far!
grtho
Cut Glass Piercing might sound scary name but they are one of the oldest and most poular piercing places. I was reading an article about them the other week and the bloke was saying that prices generally HAVE come down.

Most popular for girls right now is belly button, for guys the eyebrow.
A lot of fairly conservative people get their nipples pieces cos it doesn't show.
Prince Albert getting more and more popular especially younger hetero guys!

Hi,

Has anyone been to Medusa lately? I looked at the website upon Hazza's recommendation (above), but if he went 3 yrs ago, ltos could've changed... anyone got any clue about the prices? They weren't on the website at all.

Ta,

i went to medusa some months ago and had a good experience. definitely clean and professional, and the price was between what i expected to pay and just-less.

I recently got plugs in my ears (4mm) and I wanted to recommend that anyone esle with similiar ambitions get them taken care of @ Wildcat Piercings. Very, very professional, nice and clean. So, check it out if you care about quality. It's pretty close to 'The Drugstore'. Take the U3 or U6 north from marienplatz and get off at muenchener freiheit. The address is Feilitzsch Strasse 23.

Ohhhh, be careful!!! unsure.gif

I had my belly button pierced when i was 18 and for 2 years it was fine. Then I (stupidly) swapped the ring for a stunning blue jewel but it wasn't surgical steel, so I reacted badly with it. I am now allergic to nickel. I had to use plastic knives and forks for about 6 weeks and I still can't wear any jewelry at all. Even the 'nickel free' stuff has a certain percentage of nickel in it. I can only wear platinum now... (or titanium but that looks mingin' and like scrap metal, so best avoided)

I loved wearing jewelry but now i can't - so just be ultra careful.

Would recommend Cutglass also, just had my nipple done last night and Annette was great... spoke excellent English, very clean, very fast (but yes, hurt like hell! It is a nipple, afterall!). Was a bit put off that it was a 'Halloween Shop' but apparently that part is new, as they are one of the oldest piercing shops around. However, they have the piercing room in the back and it's all business back there. smile.gif They are offering some Halloween specials in October, if anyone is interested. Nipples will then be 46 (instead of the 66 euros that I paid).
Saan
Is that 46 for the pair or just for one?
SquirrelGirl
Saan - just the one.. but maybe you could work out a 'group discount' on two! wink.gif

I always have mine pierced at a jewelry shop (5 piercings altogether). Any good one will do it. They might or might not ice your lobes first. Generally they just shoot the post through your lobe with a pistol-like device. Make sure they sell you surgical steel posts or solid gold, and don't forget to get some anti-American salve (Tyrosur is very good).

I need to take a five year old in there...are any of these ok? unsure.gif

Topsy's post about the tattoo and piercing expo reminded me that I had been meaning to ask about piercers. I have a piercing project I want to start and am looking for a professional who is friendly, clean and experienced to do this for me. I'm hoping perhaps someone else here has a lot of piercings and has built up a relationship with a good piercer and can recommend them to me. *fingers crossed*
planetmoni
I can recommend cutglass too. they have been around for some time now.
werewolf
There is one at Frankfurter Ring, 5 mins walk from the U-Bahn Station.
I don't remember the name of the shop but its pretty good.

I would just like to make it absolutely clear I am not looking for a piercing parlor but a piercing artist by name. Though of course you all should still post your helpful information about parlors here. smile.gif I just find that even at a good parlor, there are sometimes piercers who are somewhat inept or just not experienced enough.

i am wanting to get my ears re-pierced...the holes have closed up. does anyone know where or recommend a good safe place to get this done?

thank you. kym
UrbanAngel
This will be merged soon, but if you want an urgent answer, trying searching in the top right-hand corner.

no clue, but good luck. i know at home the safest way was to go to the doctor and they'd do it. i'm not sure if you can do that here though. either way you should be fine. just make sure you do a good job in the weeks following b/c as you know that's where many of the potential problems can stem from.
Schotte
any more updated places since these posts?

anyone know anything about the one at implerstrasse im being recommended? (cheers K wink.gif)
wunnspeed
I know of it, but can't say anything about it one way or another.
UrbanAngel
For normal ear piercings with a gun, Bijou Brigitte on Marienplatz do them both for EUR including the earrings (which you can choose from a selected range). You can also buy the cleansing fluid from them for EUR 1.50. No appointment necessary.

Cut Glass Piercing, Müllerstrasse.

Cut Glass Piercing is where my gf and her friends all had their tongues pierced. She definately recommends them. Personally, I don't know why someone would PAY to have someone else hurt you.
AntheaMell
Does anyone know of a piercing parlor in Munich, to get ears pierced, one that preferably doesn't cost 30 euro? And directions...that would be much appreciated.
