Yeah you won. I got my 4 euro back, now every one is a winner. Drop by the Outland one night and I will buy you a beer (prize is worth less then the 4 euro I knocked off you laugh.gif )

I'm sure if enough of us can get our hands on Turkish Lira, a colleague of mine gets back from Holiday there this week, he's bound to have a few, we could head down and Bankrupt him!

So Steve, just to be clear is it a beer for each set of two coins?

At least now I know what you were babbling on about the other night.

Ive been short changed in Turkish, Indian, Italian and Bavarian shops/restaurants in Munich. It seems to be pretty normal here.
Memo
Just as a side note, the Turkish coins DO work, at least in some machines. I put one in a vending machine at work. I just wanted to see if it really worked and had no intention of using it. The credit showed as 2 Euros. I pushed the button to get it back and four 50 cent coins dropped instead of my 1 YTL. Arrgh...

Believe it or not, being the honest type, I called them and told them that I did such a thing by mistake and wanted to give the money back and get my coin. The woman said I deserved a free cup of coffee for my honesty. I paid them back, they gave me my coin, but I have yet to see that cup of coffee.
