How long does Tengelmann need to transport milk?

A rant about freshness of dairy products

boomtown_rat
why do you have to have milk from a bottle instead of a carton?
Small Town Boy
Partly because I believe it tastes fresher, partly because I'd rather see a glass bottle be washed out and reused than a plastic container burnt or recycled, and partly because I'm old-fashioned like that.

Rememeber, Mr Stoiber privatised the dairy and it was bought by Mr Müller.
You know, the guy that get millions in subsidies for the net DESTRUCTION of jobs.
And gives money that he gets from selling milk to kanacken like us to...the NPD.
Weihenstephan milk = fascist milk.

i am not the only one who is boycotting weihenstephan/müller products.

ohmy.gif no way! think I'd like to join the boycott. where can I get more info about the misdoings?
Topsy
yes, i'd like more info about the misdoings as well, please ohmy.gif

Müller denies the allegations.
So for legal reasons, I'd like to see some proof or the removal of the allegation.

QUOTE

perhaps the chain e-mail was started by a clever competitor? unsure.gif

We get our milk from the farmer across the road from us, delicious, fresh and full fat. I mean real full fat at over 4% and not the 3.8% fat that claims it's full milk. He confirmed that the dairies do what the Germans call "Absahnen", skim the cream until the milk has only 3.8% and then sell that as full fat milk but can sell the skimmed cream as well.
Small Town Boy
Mmmm, I used to buy my milk at the organic store; that was locally produced and still had a layer of cream on top. Since I moved I've been too lazy to travel south of the river to buy it, but I may have to start making the effort. I did taste great.
MonksTown
I've heard it from differing sources, but I will do a little research on the NPD and Müller thing.

I notice though they have denied taking MILLIONS in subidies for the net destruction of dairy jobs though...
enough reason to boycott them imvho.
MonksTown
OK, after a bit of research I've found no evidence that Müller gives money to the NPD.
It's a rumour that is SO common and I've heard so mayn times I believed it.
I withdraw the allegation.

-------------------------

Theo Müller is however a member of the CSU.

The story in the e mails and presentations that go round, that Müller received millions of OUR MONEY to destroy jobs in
the dairy industry and that they reduced the size of his milkshakes from 500 ml to 400 ml for the same price haven't been denied.

Still plenty enough reason not to buy Müller or Weihenstefan dairy products.
Jules Winnfield
So one cannot buy Weihenstephan products anymore because the CEO is a member of the CSU and you got some e-mails alleging that he destroyed jobs using "our money"? Doesn't that sound just a little flaky to you?
MonksTown
Why should I buy from any business where the boss supports the CSU?

Why should I buy from any business that has played the subsidies game to get millions of Euros of OUR MONEY with the net result of destroying jobs?

Why I call "flaky" is how politicians and bureaucrats spend OUR money.

"Monkstown in foaming-mouthed rant about the SYSTEM shocker"

"I heard from some bloke down the pub who was speaking to his sister who knows the brother of some bloke that used to clean the winders for the next door neighbour of the milkman for the CEO of Weihenstephan, that the company makes profits AND! AND! The CEO receives a regular paycheck! I was stunned I tell you. Stunned.."
MonksTown
I ain't foaming at the mouth.
Just made a choice as a consumer not to purchase off that cnut.
Free market choice innit, in fact its the capitalism you love. tongue.gif

Concerning the inefficiency statements made here: An aquainantance of mine was hired to transport a truckload of clay from Bavaria to Schleswig-Holstein. Half an hour from his destination he passed a clay digging thingy (whatever you call that ...). So he asked his customer "Why didn't you get your clay over there?" - Answer: "Well, we collected offers from a everywhere and yours was the cheapest overall."

Energy and thus transportation is way too cheap. A truck needs nearly as much gas as a car. Thats why it is economical to transport your milk all over the country instead of hiring an extra guy that makes sure that extra distances are avoided.
