did anyone watch it?
did they play well?
were Andorra really as crap as they've been made out to be?
is beating Andorra 5:0 of any significance whatsoever?
anyroad, at least Deutschland beat Ireland.
that'll wipe the cheesy leprechaun grin off their cheeky ginger faces

The bar staff at Ryan's have been informed of your comments and will now spit in every pint that they give you.
I have also taken note and questions for the quiz are now being suitable rewriten to avoid any subject you might know something about.

I watched it here in Blighty. I have to be very honest... the eyelids were saggin' a little midway through the second half. The question wasn't so much how many we would score, but who would get injured. I think we escaped very lightly.

It gives us 3pts in the group and a nice boost to goal difference should we be level on points at the end of qualifying, so to answer your question, yes it does mean something!

yeah, i realise that - but how did they play?
how did the team look without beckham?
was lampard any good?
that kind of thing...

Ask the Scots if they think that beating the Faroes 6-0 is significant.

I think it fair to say that England were expected to pummel little Andorra and so 5-0 is no big shock, the difference is, for the last few years under the bog eyed Swede whenever we were expected to thrash somebody we never lived up to it.
The new management team of McLaren and Venables have clearly got the side playing with much more positive thinking and emphasis upon attack and i would suggest most of that comes from El Tel.
As for the game, they all played well with Owen Hargreaves being MOM again sitting in the middle and acting as the hub for all England's play.

Is 3 points in qualifying for a group with France and Italy plus the Ukraine in it significant? Hell yes. That's the
Group of Death. Italy let Lithuania get a surprise draw so every point we can get is important. Even goal difference could help (we're top of the table right now thanks to that).
We have Lithuania on Weds, France vs Italy is on the same date.

The most significant result on the Scottish group was that Italy drew. Another couple of slips ups like that (especially against scotland) and qualification is possible. I think we can compete with anyone now at Hampden. Katrina, surprised you still support scotland, I thought you had been assimillated dahn in essex.

i got all confused for a minute there - had to go off and check the groups to make sure that england weren't in a group with italy and france...

Wee Mun, nevah. Our house was like an outpost, an island, kind of like France's overseas departements.
When we did my parents' move back to Dumfries, I found a '74 Scotland World Cup shirt - I'm going to frame it and put it up on the wall. That's true about Hampden and any slip-ups not by us help.
BTW man, that Geordie comedian last night looked like you but thinner.
