TT casino night out in Garmisch

So, who'd be up for a night on the town starting with a trip to the casino in Garmisch?

Why 3rd/4th November? Well as its Oktoberfest, that pretty much rules out going this month and the first weekend of October, so I chose a date thats close to payday for us all.

What you will need -

*Passport or a valid ID to gain entrance to the Casino.
*Be over 21.

We can get the DB wochenende ticket to get us there, so if there is a few of us we can have up to 5 people on a ticket. When we get there, there is a bus service that takes us to the Casino, or we can al jump taxis and split the fares.

The place is open till 3am on Fridays & Saturdays. When we're either broke or milionaires, we can head bac to Munich and either go to a club with our hard earned winnings or do whatever.

Guys feel free to dress up like 007 and ladies dress like a Bond girl should you so wish.

Should be a good laugh. Only advice to newbies to a Casino is -

Set your self a limit of how much you'll gamble and stick to it.
Be prepared to lose, but obviously play to win.

There is a tournament this Saturday in Munich though, just search for the poker thread.

I am up for the Casino trip though, and I am sure quite a few others will be too.

Just checked their site, and yes, they do have Texas Hold'em - since Juli apparently. I'm surprised too.

Cannot work out from the site whether the hold em is a cash game or sit and goes or what?? Seems to also be limit poker.

It's a limit game by the looks of it - different tables will usually play different limits.

yup, limit cash game, bore the arse of a donkey, no place for bluffing, sit and wait and wait and wait... until you have a hand... zzzzzz

Yep - Limit is only any good for beginners. Total waste of time if you actually want to play a game. Like you said, stick to the blackjack. Or even the roulette.

And you guys are all pros with so much cash to spare that you can blow however much you like on a night out and it won't make the slightest bit of difference...yeah right.

I prefer no limit sit and goes. If you know anything about poker, you would know that this is a 1 table tournament where everyone pays an entry fee and depending on the amount of players, the first 2 or 3 get a pay out at the end. That is hardly blowing as much as we like??

Face it. I'm considerably richer than you. (or what Wee Mun said - even if it wasn't played that way, I'd still play no limits (and I do) as it makes for a proper game rather than a game hobbled by a set of rules that the game wasn't designed for).
