Where to buy a hair clipper?

Hello. I've cut my own hair (at least the little I have left :-) using clippers for about the last 10 years. Must've saved a bundle of money in that time due to my investment in clippers. However, about a year ago, the clippers died and I bought a new dual-voltage one, anticipating my move to Germany (230V) from the US (110V).

Unfortunately, the unit is EXTREMELY LOUD ohmy.gif running on 230V and I feel like I'm waking the entire neighborhood when using it. Thus, I'm interested in buying a new one here (dual-voltage no longer necessary). I'd really like to get some suggestions on reputable clipper brands here and places to look for them. I've seen the tips to try Penny Markt and/or Kaufhof. Which brands are good and are there other places to get 'em too?

Thanks a lot of any suggestions! biggrin.gif

Hi Davo,

If I've understood you correctly, you want to shave your head? (Not sure what a¨'clipper' is).

My boyfriend has found a good brand where the blades are ceramic, and it doesn't get clogged up, and comes in a cool metal box with lots of accesories like scissors and brushes etc. The brand is Remington (Precision Ceramic) and we bought it from the razor shop on Fraunhoferstrasse but it can also be found in non-specialist shops like Saturn.

I got a Remington about 3 years ago. Pretty basic model which cost me around 30DM at the time. Still going strong and I got it from Kaufhof (I think).

I saw one at ALDI the other day for 5,99. but it was probably super cheap one
