Hello, Wondering if you could help? My 9 yr old daughter is in a wheeled chair - she loves going to the playground with her sisters. We've been here a year and apart from the zoo have not found any accessible play facilities in the Munich area. Is there anywhere she can find a large supporting swing (her favourite) or roundabout? Thanks ...

If I know what you mean by a roundabout, there's one in the play area at
Taxisgarten beer garden (
U1 Gern.)
It's the carousel thing that kids push around to get going and then jump up on, or just ride on if they're not pushing?

There is one at the playground next to the
Aumeister bbeer garden, near the top of the
English Gardens.

There is an absolutely cool playground for kids with wheels and without. Itäs used by a Landheim fuer Behinderte as well so that may be a nice contact as well.
Harlaching, right next to (actually part of a huge shared courtyard) the Orthozentrum in Kurzstrasse. UBahn to Wettersteinpl. (nice wheelchair friendly elevator to ground level) and then two stops on the tram) Kurzst.
There is a platform for those who roll (like a climbing frame) all kinds of rolling practice places
rubbery bouncy
wooden bridge
wheelchair accessible slide, swing, merry go round, see saw, cool hammock swings
definitely worth a look!
The playground at the Munich Zoo (Thalkirchen) is designed to be wheelchair accessible.
