In the Swedish calendar of traditional events, one of the most popular is Kräftskiva or the crayfish party.

FROM NORTH, the Scandinavian society in Munich, are organising such an event on Saturday 2nd September at 7pm in Nockherberg biergarten. There is a large covered area too, so even if the weather isn't playing along, that no reason for us to stop. Whether you're Scandinavian or not, this will be a great evening with a good few beers to help wash the crayfish down.

So, how does it work?

Included in the price of 15 euros (members), 18 euros (non-members) are -

Kräftor (the crayfish themselves of course!)

Cheese and Butter

Knäckebrot (crispbread)

The beer and other drinks can be bought in the biergarten and Schnapps can be brought by yourselves in unmarked brown paper bags (don't forget your schnapps glasses!).

We will be decorating the feasting benches and surroundings and will provide the necessary plates and cutlery. This is certain to be a great event and one we would hope to repeat annually.

In order for us to ensure we have enough Kräftor, please register for this event by sending an email to events@fromnorth.de with the title Kräftskiva at the very latest by Wednesday 30th August. Please note that registrations are binding since we have to buy a lot of Kräftor in advance!
