Kids playgroup get togethers in Berlin

Hello all,
all right, I admit it: my husband and I are both German natives. But since 1.) both of us lived in English-speaking countries for years (my husband even grew up there), 2.) we may move to the UK and 3.) have relatives in Africa who speak no German at all, we decided to bring up our child(ren) bilingually. So far there is only one, Charis (9 months old and thriving). Our home language is English. We would love to meet people with children roughly the same age as Charis for occasional meetings, outings, fun etc. We live in Berlin-Zehlendorf...

What about a meetup for those about to have kids?

Hey - I'm taking a gap year as an Au Pair in Pankow. I'm watching a 3 year old german girl (Clea), and it's completely strange...it seems like most germans don't do the whole 'Play-date' thing like american families do!!! (at least the family I'm working for doesn't) I feel so bad watching her play alone day after day after day and I'm totally up for a children's meetup on a weekday after she gets back from Kita. Let me know!

Hello All,

Just wondering if there were any parents out there worried about their kids English Abilities. I am an American living in the eastern part of Berlin (Koepenick) and can't really travel to Prenzlauer Berg or Charlottenburg with my 1 year old on a regular basis to take advantage of the English groups there. If anyone is interested in getting together so our kids can have more English influences then just one parent, let me know. My schedule is pretty flexible and I would like to organize meets once or more a week for play time, activities and chat.
