Naked people abound in this city, whether sun bathing or just bathing. I'm shocked by those posters who have responded in the negative, who have normally given way to civil liberties being the way forward. As long as she does not harm anybody, then let the woman be.
naked people abound in the parks and in the river. In the middle of the city in the public fountains is no place for people to shower. People aren't doing their grooming in the parks either, they're sunbathing or playing in the water. This woman isn't. I don't think you're seriously arguing that she's breaking new ground for civil rights and the rights of anyone to bathe in public when and where they want. Or? Picking your nose in public doesn't hurt anyone either, you won't even get fined for it, but I'd still prefer you not do it. It's a social norm, just culturally based, and I've heard that in China you can pick your nose in public and nobody's disgusted. Just because social norms are culturally based doesn't mean they're irrelevant or useless or should be ignored in the name of civil liberties.

It's what makes Munich an unconventional city. Where else can you see naked bathing in the city center? Make it a tourist attraction. She should have sponsors like Vodafone or O2 provide her with a phone so the local morning radio show can call to find out which fountain she'll be hanging out at. It will change AM drive time traffic as we know it.

We've also stated that she isn't just bathing herself, she urinates and defecates in public which more than anything else is what I take issue with. Do you honestly think that's acceptable?

Well, is it? Bad, I mean. Bathing. Or is it the extra 90-ish kilos she has on her?

Sure she has a screw loose - defecating etc. in public. But then it is the city authority's responsibility to have her off the streets, because surely she's mentally imbalanced.
TBH I don't see why one should be up in arms about her crapping - but then turning a blind eye to all the dog shit and the owners who don't clear it up. Pretty much the same thing in my view.

I certainly don't turn a blind eye to dogs crapping in the street, I find it equally wrong and disgusting.

We see that woman all the time, in the summer she lives in and around herkommerplatz. I've never seen her bathing but she's often nude or only partly clothed. She's quite a scary sight.
She's the one doing it! Bloody hell I will stay clear of the fountains from now on, you see her sleeping outside the HVB and chemist in herkömerplatz regularly. Still havent seen her starkers thanks be to jaysus

I have less problem with a mentally disturbed woman defacating in public than I do with dog owners who let their dog shit in a public place be it path or park and leave it. Now they are a real public menace!

Jeebus. I don't get it. People pay a fortune to go to seaworld and watch Whales swimming around in tanks of water. You get it for free in Munich and there is a big hoo-haa
it's a grace issue, Crawls.

Seems that she has become a bit of a celebrity abroad... my mum who lives in Mauritius told me yesterday that the press there had published an article about her...
