Why are you happy today?

I am happy because today is the last day of my translating internship, and I am moving to Berlin next week for the start of my Stipendium in the Bundestag! Yay!

Edit: And my boyfriend is taking me out to dinner tonight at Jean de St. Malo - my mouth is watering already!

I'm happy coz no one's noticed my stinking hangover, I've successfully white knuckled an important call and I get to spend next week in London! mmmmmm Pret Super Club

I'm happy because I just got an appointment for this Wednesday at lunch for a very, very expensive haircut. And although it does make me feel sick when I see the bill, I know that my hair will look lovely afterwards AND will be low-maintenance. yay!

I am happy because I woke up at the stop before mine on this S-Bahn this morning after a refreshing nap (during which the ticket checkers did their thing), but Scogs would have waked me up in time anyway. I am also happy because in spite of indulging in Weißbier and strawberry caipi yesterday evening and having had only 6 hours sleep I feel great and had a big breakfast of croissants, tzatziki, creamed cheese with spring onions, cheese, mustard and tomato.

Had a crazy busy week, met some friends for a really nice dinner last night, woke up today WITHOUT a hangover, to find the the sun shining and now to get ready for going to to Athens for 3 days !! Gonna be a good week I reckon !!

I'm really happy, because I bought a nice brandnew yellow kitchen on saturday.

I'm happy because Martin Scorsese finally won an Academy Award for Best Director. After such a long wait, just like Steven Spielberg, another great director who was once overdue for an Oscar in the same category, it's good to see Marty finally win.

I had an excellent night and four delicious cocktails tonight... now I just hope they wear off in the next six hours, because I have to get up for work.

I just finished watching Borat on DVD. I've seen it at the theater months before but it's still funny as heck.
I also got to see a couple of hilarious clips in the special features section I hadn't seen before.

I've just made it to the top of the top 20 posters list - I know, simple pleasures...

Ok, I'm sad that I missed the housewarming party- but hurrah that I made up for it (a little) tonight at the HBK.

I just this minute rediscovered the joy of play-doh. I forgot how much I love the smell of the stuff.

I finally bought myself a microwave and am now eating popcorn... mmmm.. I had bought the popcorn in June last year for when I buy a microwave (I was trying to get myself to buy one and not postpone it all the time), and I finally got one. (The popcorn's expiration date is March 07 so it's about time!)

And I am about to go to Rewe which is open till 10pm since today!

I am happy because the weather is starting to fit the calendar.
And I am happy because I found 50% of my missing cats under the Redneck van across the street - the Japanese black tom had stationed himself just off the front tire and was daring her to move. No news yet on cat #2, maybe I should look for him by smell.

I am off for today! Yeah!

i'm quite content for many reasons. I'll be even more so next weekend and later today after I go take my drugtest (blah!)

I just called my very best friend- who upon answering their phone, didn't recognize my voice and mistook me for a confused Chinese girl. But it was still really nice to chat (once I explained who I was).

Because I have made beef biryani and it is about to be devoured. Yum!

I quit my job yesterday not knowing what I would be doing next, and then today I unexpectedly got invited to three interviews, two of which are for jobs I'm really interested in, and one of them would be just a ten minute walk from my house. Yay, yay, yay!

I'm happy because I'm in a tropical paradise but I'm even happier because I just might be getting the kitty I've been dreaming of for over a year soon.

The cat recovery rate is now at 100%, stinky Hexi stood meowing at the front door 28 hours after his disappearance and dry in spite of the drizzle. I will tie him to the tree in the back garden from now on (with a collar and bell) so he can hunt birds all he wants but stays put.

I'm happy because I got appointed "Cleverle" on a Questions/Answers Board...

Of course, I always knew I'm a little genius...

My kid is fingerpainting with blue and yellow finger paint. She's covered head to toe, very much resembling the Incredible Hulk.

moving, work, joining some sports leagues, volunteering, and next weekend is St. Patrick's Day (yay!) and i'll be in one of my favorite cities and seeing Max and some of my extended family (incl the person I named my dog after)

Our daughter did similar several years ago but with a whole (large) pot of Nivea.
