I'm happy because of many reasons, but the latest one being that I just got a delayed Christmas present from me bro and his wife in California - super friggin' high tech North Face skiing long johns and undershirt. The shit just breathes quality, can't wait to try them! My best gift this Christmas, totally, totally awesome.

Awesome. Just scored a non-stop direct roundtrip flight from Munich to San Francisco for 540 euros. Going skiing for a week in Squaw, and also visiting friends and family. Awesome.

I'm happy because before lunch we celebrated getting a paper we'd been working on accepted. I've also made an important discovery: two glasses of Sekt on an empty stomach is enough induce a slightly tipsy sensation .

What made me laugh today.

I am back in the UK and went for an eye test today, he was a Dutch man so spent a lot of time discussing Germany. The least rude thing he said about them was when he asked me what was the shortest book ever written.

My son lost his first tooth yesterday and last night the tooth fairy visited him. The joy on his face this morning made me happy.
