Cos it's another beautiful day and i'm sat on my balcony enjoying the benefits of the weather and WiFi.

Furthermore, I just went to the Ostbahnhof and, despite it only being 3 stops, bought a one zone ticket like a good boy.

Just as I was about to disembark I was controlled.

Yayyy, the joys of being found to be an upright citizen are an unusual pleasure.

Because a whole Marmite thread just got pulled, proving that there is still a cause to fight for. Long live the Marmite Resistance Movement! We will never surrender!

Been living in Germany too long

the brownies i made and brought to work are very tasty (very chocolatey and fudgy).

Slowly the mess of coordinating bringing in 4 different dogs into rescue is being sorted out.

I received a VERY nice thank you card from the secretary of the Puerto Rico section for ASQ. It was a very pleasant surprise when i arrived at work today.

Tonight i'm having a wonderful fish fry and sitting out on my parent's screened in porch.

the list goes on... oh and in 2 weeks i get to see my lovely boyfriend!

Sunday I get to ride the Lake Express!

We were having transport issues with the getting some dogs moved to foster homes... i had an unconventional idea to take the Lake Express (ferry from WI to MI across Lake Michigan) So I'm riding over to get them then taking the two back with me!
It should be fun (at least the part without the dogs since we don't know what they're stress level will be or how they'll be reacting) watch out other passengers you're going to have two border collies riding with you!

Because I am getting less deposit back than I hoped but much more than I had feared.
And because my former (!) landlords signed the hand-over sheet without noticing the bits I missed while painting.

Because I shared a flask of the bubbly with a friend on Scogs' bench this afternoon.

EDIT: And because Cleo the Cat jumped from a footstool onto my revolving office chair, her momentum caused the chair to revolve, Sophie the Boarder Cat who was hiding underneath my desk hissed at her when she appeared on that side, Cleo completed her 360° turn and jumped back onto the footstool. Two seconds of pure entertainment!

fun day yesterday! great run and fantastic concert!!!

'Cos all these little aches and pains throughout my body are reminding me of a really busy, but wonderful, weekend (woke up this morning feeling that the weekend was definitely one day too short!).

'Cos I forced my girl to walk up a mountain yesterday, and she still likes me.

Cos my life isn't so shite that I have to endlessly post on this thread.

Cos my beloved Man City have finally got away from the yoke of life under Frank Sinatra.

Because yesterday I celebrated the end of Summer with some really lovely friends. They have gone back home, which is a few hundred kilometres away, but I am still happy I had the chance to see them yesterday.

Cos after 10 years in Europe I won't experience any winters anymore!!! yes!

Because the Boks gave the Wallabies a massive hiding.

Because he knows at last he has made the right decision.

Also, I had a nice weekend- hang out with the family Saturday, ferry ride to Michigan and back yesterday and dog stuff then hang out with a former roommate, today not much- just hanging out and enjoying the gorgeous (low 80s F) day since it's labor day and no work!

...because I got my hands on our club's best 2-seater (a DG-1000/20S) on Saturday taking an elderly & somewhat infirm ex-member of the club with me - took a set of steps & two people to get him into the back seat. We stayed up for almost 3/4 hour & the guy was extremely grateful...



I'd forgotten how well this 20m thing flies - far better than my 15m glider

Oh and I want to thank all my TRUE friends for telling me how much of an idiot I was when I kept taking her back or dropping everything at one phonecall from her.

got a notice today at home that we now have ORF1 again in the building! Yeah! commercial free television.

I just won £10 in the lottery. Not exactly life changing, but did bring a smile to my face...

Because, after nearly TWO MONTHS, we´ve got a DATE!!! THank you 1&1, for skipping the deadline by 16 days, but hey - you´ve got to be grateful for small mercies and happy to be online again by the end of the month :-)

I am happy because Flyforfun has extended my voucher for the bi-plane flight to next June as they cannot fit me into their schedule before the season ends in October.
