Why are you happy today?

I'm happy caus I get paid today for the first time in a month, I got 2 weeks off at xmas,I managed to get a ticket to some New year party in paris and the MCR concert is sunday night

I am happy because the kid im an au pair for just got a new piano.. It's been entertaining him for the last two hours... I am also happy because its almost friday, and I dont have to be his personal slave on sunday!! (only 2 more sleeps till sunday!)

I am happy (still) because I got my residence permit this week.

(So sue me, I didn't find this thread on Tuesday... )

Im happy because.. I get to stay in Munich till Christmas.. and also because It was a beautiful day...

I'm now even happier because tomoro is friday which means no more aupairing until monday afternoon as I got the morning off because I'm gigging sunday night.

It's a mixture of happy, excited, a bit afraid of the enormous amount of things to do in the next few days/weeks. Got my contract on the post today (that's the happy part), but still have a looot to do on my research paper (that's the stressing part). I'm not even sure why I'm writing this here, but whatever.

I'm happy cos its Friday

I'm happy cos the other third will be here for the weekend in 3 hours.

I'm happy as I just booked my flight to London for a 4 day trip to catch up with my friends and eat some pork pies,... Oh I miss pork Pies, oh and a square pie from Selfridges with mash and peas..mmmmmmmm bring on the end of the month.

I'm happy today because..

• it is Friday
• my flat is not only clean but has a distinct fragrance of Christmas Cakes - a residence scented with cake smells like a home to me
• the underwear shop near my flat is closing due to the owner's retirement & all stock is 50% off. Current Simone Pérèle & Lejaby at half price? Oh yes. (Bank) Computer says ouch!
• pootle is having fun on his weekend away - hurrah
• And lots of other stuff too (like an unexpected ticket to the Kaiser Chiefs, an acid house night tonight, an incoming frock from the US and my pals & family in general).

Im happy because I just got a photo printed poster size and I'm pleased with it. The first photo for six months I'm happy with it

Doubly happy because planetmoni and I are going on a very very long run tomorrow . I need it to get the cobwebs out of my brain.

I'm happy to clean my flat in preparation for my friend who is arriving from the US tomorrow!!

i'm happy because tonight i get to hang out with my favorite 5 year old and watch a movie and curl up together on the couch.

(okay, so perhaps i should get a life since i'm excited about watching an animated monkey with a 5 year old. or perhaps i'm excited to not have to deal with her bratty 8 going on 16 yr old sister)

Just did 250 kilometers on my motorcycle, heading southwest in the morning, with my shadow flanking me, the mountains looked great. For those of you who haven't got a bike yet (nobody in particular except maybe Keydeck) listen.

1. Every time you overtake you can emit a Douglas Fairbanks like "Hah" and you can overtake pretty much everbody.

2. Listening to "Sympathy for the devil" while rollng past 3 kilometers of stalled traffic is sublime, in a very very sublime way.

3. The acoustics in a helmet are even better than in the shower, and nobody else can hear you snging.

4. With a motorbike you may not always get what you what want, but dammit, you get what you need.

5. Sure it's very cold and very fast, but haven't you always wanted to indulge that eskimo sex fetisch ?

I bet when yeti takes you for a ride, you're going to wind up shoeless and mumbling nonsense to yourself. There will probably be an incident resulting in a dog staring you down and questioning, no belitting your intelligence. Also, your house will probably be robbed of all its chocolate. Yes, you will be shoeless, chocolate, crazy "joe" or whatever you like to call yourself in your private christian times.

I forgot, Im happy because I finished my book, have a lazy day and a clean house - if I dont go into that one room with all the suitcases - and its filled with flowers. I can smell them everywhere. The flowers, not the suitcases.

i'm happy becuase i've bribed the kids to see a movie in english!!! so tomorrow we'll see open season (i told them they can have popcorn and ice cream). damn good thing i'm not a real parent my kid would be fat little things that cannot think for themselves because i'd be bribing/dictating their entire lives!

I’m happy because I woke up with a screaming headache this morning that wouldn’t go away.

Now after a fistful of pills, the headache has gone which means I have now just cracked open my first beer of the weekend

how the hell do you think real parents manage? magic wands and moon dust? we are all buyable. just those under ten are a tadge cheaper.

I am happy today because the patients I am treating today (yes working saturday), are letting me do their injections, instead of the docs. I love that freedom to decide where I need anesthetic.
