In four days I'm going to be out of this wretched office and laying on a sun-drenched beach enjoying cocktails, 30+ degree weather and the sight of the turquoise ocean (and my man with no shirt on).
I had two wisdom teeth removed yesterday by an excellent oral surgeon who is now my hero!!! No laughing gas, no twilight anesthesia, just local anesthesia and I didn't feel a thing and I have no pain post surgery and I'm only using a little Motrin.

I have some freinds that are wonderful cooks and cocktail makers, and they invite me over lots. Had a great evening tonight with some super friends, even if one did take the piss when my Canadian accent pops out every now and then.

i have an interview on monday afternoon for a job i have been after since november (various positions have been offered on and off since then) and now i might actually get out of this crappy family i am an au pair with at the moment!

Okay, even though the Canadian Women let the American Women have the Gold in IceHockey (we have won 11 out 13 times), we still reign in curling! The Canadian Mens team just beat Scotland in the Final. WhoHoo! The Pipes and Drums came in to bring the trophy to the Mens Team.
Norway won the Bronze! Wow, what a hot looking team they are! Need to plan that trip to Norway next summer!

I just bought my ticket to go to Germany in 5 weeks! (and it was cheap! half the price of what I would've paid if I went in July)
i'll be able to meet up with some friends, meet some people i've been wanting to meet, have 11 nice days with my boyfriend, go pick up the puppy, fly the puppy back to the US with me, and so much more!
Hopefully I'll be able to convince people to go to a beergarden (or out for drinks) in tracht. hint hint... any takers?
oh, I have a crappy seat on the way there and don't have one, yet, on the return flight, but at least there are good movies for the flight there!

I am happy, as my two long work days are finished, so its smooth sailing for the rest of the week now, and I had a really nice patient in today, that thought I was the cats meow, and went out in the rain after his appointment to bring me a box of chocolates (my favs too!) for being such a nice person. Makes my job easier when one knows they are appreciated.

Because the hairdresser that I went to today (my first in Germany) managed to redye my hair so it wasn't orange which is the first colour he made it.

Emily BTW has only 3 legs and quite small but was game on for defending the back garden as her and Hex's (farting cat) territory, normally Hex and Emily fight, but never like this, this was a full on cat fight, there is cat fur all over the lawn, Hex looks like he has lost a couple of claws as well, I know Coco from across the road has, as i pulled them out of my foot

Because I just booked a hostel in Valencia for May 1st to the 4th, and a flight from Barcelona to Sevilla for June 14th and back from Granada for the 25th! I still have to buy the bus ticket for Valencia and book the hostels for Andalusia but I can't wait to go on those trips!

I am spending the weekend in a place where I can relax and have privacy... and do what ever I want without having to ask permission or deal with anyone else!!!
Because I adopted a beautiful cat from a fellow TTer and am going to pick her up tomorrow morning! Bowls, toys and smiles are currently in place, as is the former ruling cat of the house, who will now have a new friend to play with.
had a good time last night on my "date"* with one of my best friends and had a good, free meal!

Because my boyfriend came home last night with a big bouquet of flowers for me and after the week I've had, it was the nicest, sweetest thing that's happened to me all week.

Because after having had a row with the German customs office in Garching-Hochbrück yesterday as my parcel had been reposted before the Frist had finished (and was ready to tear into the responsible civil servant on Monday as they had kindly finished work at 12noon on Friday), my parcel from New Zealand containing herbal tea and spa stuff from Hanmer Springs has turned up at my flat without any kind of customs charge whatsoever.
