less than 4 hours of work left for 6 days! Off to my fav place in the world, Helsinki, with some great friends.
The sun is shining, it snowed, and I have Cream eggs and Tootsie Rolls. Still not sure if I will share any of it. tongue.gif
Renia
You keep teasing everyone with talk of cream eggs!
Carm
I put them all in the cupboard, haven`t even had one myself... I am sick that way, I like to save things, so, maybe next time meet up.
bluedave
The world is a better place as i sit here munching on a Creme Egg whilst sipping on my Ben Shaw's Dandelion & Burdock, secure in the knowledge that my baby's heads and landmines are in the cupboard and my bread, crumpets and bacon reside safely within the cool embrace of the fridge. smile.gif

@Bluedave,

Enough with the teasing dry.gif . You should add cream eggs to the not assimulated bit...

Do germans know what they are and would they eat them if they did?

I explained the British tradition of trying to get as many choc easter eggs as possible and eat then with 2 weeks.

She looked like she was going to be sick :-)
bluedave
I think anyone would eat a Creme Egg but it's actually the baby's heads i'm looking forward to most wiv some chips, gravy n mushy peas. tongue.gif

My boss just came into my office, saw the life-sized poster of Dan Carter I now have up, shook his head and laughed.

Poor wee thing, if you'd rolled over and got off its tail it could have played a little.
sarabyrd
You'd be surprised how sensitive cats are towards suffering and sickness. Scogs wasn't doing well after this week's dentist visit and Emily the Three-Legged Hunter jumped onto him instead of me when he was lying on the couch.
P.S. Where's that link to the Cat of Death? Ah, Psychic cat of death.

I am happy because the bandage for the epicondylitis is helping and I am no longer in constant pain.
Ruthie
If I cry, Tobi comes to see what I am doing, but then he decides he doesn't like it and goes into the other room. I knew I should have gotten a cat.

Because it is Friday.

I second that and (hopefully) some good rugby games tomorrow.

Pets have it easy, if my gf is crying, I like men all over the world have to enter and assess the situation at high speed..

1) Is is something I did and is it safe to stay (flying things).
2). Is it something someone else has done and is it safe to stay (its early I have the whole day to not sit here and listen to this).
3). Is it something no one did and is it safe to stay (its early etc...).

4). Is it unrelated to anything I know or understand. In which case get the hell out of here. This get all 1, 2, 3 or all of them and all them on me. This is a 'put down whatever you are carriny and walk slowly backwards towards the door while making conforting and supportive noises.

Once out do not go back into the room without a means of distraction, tea, food, even better, a pet :-)

Pets are lucky, they come in, sniff, look and leave.

This guy at work always sends me a bitchy reply if I ask him for this invoice he's supposed to forward on to the other people in the office, including me. I asked him for November's once in December and he replied "I don't have it yet. You don't need to ask me every month for it, I'll send it when I have it." OUCH! He basically said the same thing last month when I asked for January's.. "If I had it, I would've sent it already.."

He just sent February's yesterday and still no one had received January's. I told him yesterday he hadn't sent it yet and got no answer. I am happy right now because today a girl on the Geschäftsführung level told him thanks, but to send January's. It made me smile that his mistake got pointed out.

Aahh.. the small (bitchy) pleasures of working in the office.

I'm choosing to be happy today after a week of personal and professional stress. And why the hell not? It's Friday, the sun is shining, there are little flowers growing at Isartorplatz and the trees in my Innenhof are budding, I've got Morphine in the earphones, a new season of Grey's Anatomy just came via Amazon and the HDD player is set to record DSDS and heavyweight boxing this weekend.

Sometimes you just have to appreciate the small things.

I'm happy because I just drank Orangen nektar and I'm listening to James Taylor and Jim Croce. It's Friday. My husband coming home early today - if this boats rocking don't come a knockin... I got meatball sauce on my tank top but I don't care (now thats happiness). I'm also happy because the trees are getting greener, little purple flowers are sprouting in the front garden. I'm also happy because I am working from home from until the BVG strike is over . I don't think I could be happier if I was a pig in shit.

Tomorrow I get to see my boyfriend!!! Hopefully once I arrive in Florida I'll also get to find out with the surprise 'plan' is.

A couple of weeks ago I found a handbag at Hohenzollnerplatz and I called the cops, they came round to where I was and picked it up, great I thought , there´s service for you!Anyway today, doorbell rings and a young lady is standing there to thank me and handed me a bottle of Sekt! I had forgotten all about the handbag and then that!
Just goes to show, human nature can sometimes surprise you. smile.gif
Unfortunately the young lady escaped before I could drag her into my app! wink.gif

Because our own wireless finally seems to be working. No more leeching off of neighbors' connections. My roommate bought an access point yesterday but after she configured it (with the help of a co-worker of hers) it worked for no one but her. And now she is gone for the weekend. So I took the freedom to reset the thing (I did ask her if I could try to make it work though), and now it works. At least for me. None of my roommates is home right now, so I have to wait to see if it works for them too. But I'm hopeful. Not sure what the issue was before (my guess would be that she turned on the MAC filtering without realizing what it does), but hopefully it is solved now. Yay for reliable wireless that will hopefully not stop working all the time and we get a god good signal all over the apartment for. biggrin.gif Only took 4.5 months. wink.gif

I'm happy because I had a great time at the Female Entrepreneurs Congress at the LMU yesterday (next year TT's very own NLP preacher-teacher-healer-helper, John Paul Walsh-- presently offering free NLP classes for TTers *hint, hint* and I will have a sponsored stand there-- and hopefully other brave business (wo)men here on TT will take advantage of this excellent opportunity to share, present and promote their products and/or services; Pia dear, are you reading this?). Then I attended a Munich Writers reading at the Amerika Haus, and got to mingle with old and new friends and network a bit. I loved listening to the utterly astutely observant, detail-obsessed author, Joseph ***, who publishes under an Irish pseudonym Danaghie (cf. myspace) and is a deliciously articulate broken-record at once celebrating and lambasting and finally processing and then releasing his failed relationship with the protagonist of his latest novel, a darkly funny inside look at a malfunctioning, dysfunctional love affair that never makes it past neurotic hope to real communion and spiritual safety and solace, to deep trust and joy (a VERY TT theme), but Joseph needs (and loves to wallow in and recycle) (what he calls) his 'spirally dynamic' "psychosexual" pain. Suffering seems to be an artistic driver. Joseph's brilliant and would have a lot less to say if Maggie would just love him (back). But... that would be too boring. And too easy. No art and artistry and poignant posturing and reposturing and tortured yearning for what can't be in that. Danaghie's nearly completed first novel, "A Psychosexual Symphony", will no doubt be an instant, irresistable, keep-you-up-all-night-page-turning best-seller. I can't wait to hear the next chapter.

And I'm happy because I'm contributing to/working at the fundraising theater event for women's shelters at the Reithalle here in Munich, "The Vagina Monologues" Sat. Seems to fit nicely with the disturbingly, amusingly insightful "psychosexual spiral" Joseph Danaghie introduced me to. *laughing*

I had an amazing three days in the Altmuehltal. We stayed for 2 days in the Baroque city of Eichstaett in a very place. Hiked on the Panoramicweg and then today hiked 13 km around the Altmuehltal lake. http://www.naturpark-altmuehltal.de/

I highly recommend this area if you love nature.

I know Eichstaett from the air - several times the airfield there has been a turning-point for flights from Oppingen (nr Geislingen). Eichstaett is a good area for thermals esp from nearby quarries... Nice area to look at from 2000m up...
