Why are you happy today?

I got a christmas package in the post today (actually my neighbour collected it for me) and I thought it was from my sister in law from back home, but was shocked to see it was from an ex in England... after checking to make sure it was not ticking, I opened to find 6 deluxe Christmas Crackers... looking forward to using them at Christmas now.

A ticking parcel to the ex ... now there's an idea ... only joking, honest ...

All in fareness, I'd be a bit sceptic about why an ex would send you something for Christmas?? If my ex sent me something, Its either a nail bomb or Anthrax.

I have never had one of those nasty knockdown drag out breakups. I am actually still really good friends with most of my exes.

I am happy for several reasons today, but among them I just found out that Zimtsterne are gluten free

I'm happy because I:

1) Found a giftbox of Marzipan, some other chocolates and ten Euros in my shoe this morning for St. Nikolous Day and
2) Got paid 498,20 Euros for writing 250 articles last month! Oh! And...
3) I'll be dragging my other half out for a doener this evening.

cuz I got 3 choccy santas!

Because I am happy for my brother. He's switching his major next semester and is now already taking classes for that major so he doesn't lose another semester. And he is my little tall brother and I want him to do well!

I passed the CPDT exam! I am now a CPDT (certified pet dog trainer). Doesn't sound like much, but i'm super excited! they even have the list updated so i'm listed in the database already!

on top of it Noah is starting to open up. He's still shy, but doesn't act scared all the time. (noah=foster border collie that i'm dogsitting for a few days. he's super shy/scared of lots of things.) He even started to play frisbee inside with me tonight!

I'm so thrilled i passed. Now only if some people will forgive my not being the easiest to deal with due to stress and things the past 2 or so months leading up to the exams and getting the results... that'd be extra fantastic.

Because I managed to get off my arse long enough to go for my 5 km walk through the forest. On the way back as I was existing the forest two beautiful yellow breast robin were singing and playing in the trees. Standing there looking at those birds playing was joyful.

Because it is 21° outside. It could stay this way all winter if you ask me...

Because I completed my two hour intensive boot camp exercise class at the gym and can still walk.

I got a bottle of Veuve today as a gift from a patient... its my fav champagne, all I need now is a bathtub to soak in while drinking it.

I am happy because I won't let the weather get me down. And there is tunafish casserole for supper tonight with corn, kidney beans and red pepper, flavored with paprika, rosemary and pepper and gratinéed with mozzarella/edamer cheese, one of the best mucky weather meals in the world!

Because it is almost Friday

It's the weekend (for me anyway), in a week I'll be home, and I just booked another flight to Munich for the end of January for €60. Wasn't quite planned but since I cannot have my laptop fixed in time during the Christmas break and flying costs just a little more than having the laptop sent here (and the concierge is so unreliable), at least this way I will actually get something more than just a DHL box for my money. So I'll be in Munich Dec 23 - Jan 7 and Jan 23 - 31.

Its the weekend, and I have lots of plans with some great people.

I finally baked using up all the chocolate I had in the fridge and freezer here at home, now I have room in the fridge again.

Met up with a friend to go to the "Christmas market" (very disappointing experience) but we realized all stores were open, so I got the last part for my best friend's Christmas present and am now 60% done with shopping for presents. Now I just have to think of something for my parents. Hmmm.. that's going to be hard.

In a drawer in my closet room, I finally found my gold wedding band that's been missing for one week.

Despite a growing headache I had a nice 2.5hr phone conversation. Surprisingly there wasn't any fighting and minmal annoyance on both ends (at least on my end there wasn't as much as normal).
Soon i'll be off to go do some agility with Bren and then back to a warm shower and snuggle in with chicken nachos from the hole-in-the-wall Mexican place around the block.

Just because I am ! Happy I mean!

Because I tiled a whole room in my cellar and will make it into my own Den!

Several reasons today!

Because I just had a lovely weekend in Nuremberg

I just got done loading my new U2 The Joshua Tree 20th Anniversary Limited Edition CD's to my U2 ipod and am just about to watch the DVD with the live performance in Paris in 1987.

I finally have ALL my christmas shopping done

AND I am about to go teach one of the last 2 classes I have to teach EVER!!!

Life is great!

1.Because I got soooo nice Christmas presents and lots of warm words today!
2.Because thanks to bronchitis and strep throat which I suffered for over 2 weeks I managed to give up smoking

i started my 3 weeks christmas holiday today

'cos my visitors brought 4 x 2litre bottles of Irn Bru

(and ive got one under the desk right now!)

Cos i get to bully Schotte tonight at TTT.

Just because he's got Irn Bru ??? That's a bit unfair !! hehehe

I am happy because the frost last night and today's sunshine have turned a drab gray and brown landscape into a backdrop straight from fairyland.

Its my last working day of this year.

I am finished work in about 2 hour for the year... and meeting a good friend tonight for a glühwein, that I haven`t seen in a while.

nope! I have been a really good girl! Santa is coming you know.

Classes are over for the semester and tomorrow I'm going home for a little over two weeks.

I made my first mousse au chocolat from scratch today. A bit too much Grand Marnier, and it is not quite firm enough but it shoore do qualify as sin on a spoon. Next time I will let the chocolate/butter/egg yolk mix cool a bit before folding in the egg whites and the whipped cream and just use vanilla as flavoring - got my little non-alky brother over for Christmas.

I have a husband that loves me unconditionally.

My students and fellow employees love me.

Because I love my best friend. Not even five years of long-distance friendship can get to us... haha, she makes me laugh so much!

And now I love her even more because she is picking me up at the airport tomorrow night!
