So... Does that mean that you're happy every day??
Because the funeral of my m-i-l went very well and we realised how many friends we have who really care. There were close to 200 people there and lots of good memories were exchanged.
Thanks to those who PM'd for your kind words, it really helped.

Haggis Junior got 15 out of 15 points on her art homework assignment "Draw a comic-book character". She drew a whole page with 8 panels and text, manga-style.
EDIT: And another 15 for "Dusk", a depressed-looking girl leaning against a plate-glass and steel office building with a shadow falling on her face. Seems that we should be looking up Art Colleges for autumn 2009.

After years of hoping our neighbour has engaged a gardening company to cut down a fir tree that has been loosing branches in every storm and looking like falling on our house or a neighbour's. Now here's hoping that they lop the rotten branches of their enormous oak that hang over our drive & is the reason why I dont park a car there in a storm...

Almost paid my rent into the wrong bank account but thanks to my new roommate I saw the mistake before I left for the bank. And I am kind of glad one of my roommates moved out yesterday... she was a nice person but so inconsiderate (she did not clean before moving out but left that to us along with all her trash... and my roommate found a used condom under her bed, nice!) Hopefully the new roomie will be a little neater. Plus no one will be smoking here anymore, yay!
And because I saw a beautiful movie tonight!

I'm happy as I can be today. I went for my 3 mile walk along the river and just loved looking at those handsome men joggers in their tight jogging pants running past me. I did a few sets of step ups on the park bench. After that I went to the Christmas market and got 100 grams of some delicious hot chestnuts and brought my favorite flowers for my house. It's the simple pleasures today that have me so content.

I was happy yesterday but too busy to post: The janitor cleared the garage at my old apartment building and I bagged an exercise bike for free that was destined for the junkyard. Yes, it works. Be prepared for Scogs to post how unhappy he is because he doesn't know what to get me for Christmas now.
Today I am happy because I made Saftgulasch from scratch for the first time and it was delicious.

Cos i had fun with workmates today and that's been a bit scarce lately.
one of my bosses near the end of the day came back into the office carrying an armload of gifts from one of our big suppliers that is helping sponsor a big Course this weekend for 500 Dentists, well, I asked him if I get anything, he said, what do you want, My reply was chocolate and something to make my headache go away, well, he gave me a chocolate advent calander and then went to the Office pharmacy and got me some really good pain pills... So, I have taken some really good pain pills and eaten chocolate, what else does a women need?

this is also the doc that brings me duty free alcohol when I ask him too.

Viagra and Nitrates is the big big danger. So using in "party" mode with poppers (amyl nitrate etc) is the really dangerous think to watch out for.
bluedave
Dec 4 2007, 9:56 pm
Is it seriously dangerous then? Used it both for me and women for fun and all i get is that my face looks flushed but never thought it was actually dangerous.
Women are actually being warned not to use them, as women were before as it supposedly intensified the orgasm, but the litte blue pills are no being linked to minor heart attacks in women. Forget where I was reading that.

Obviously on its own should be fine, as long as you don't have known complications such as heart disease. It can also screw up eyesight if very very unlucky. You can google more, but the main issue is NOT to mix with anything nitrate based. It does fuck about with your blood pressure - hence the flushing, headaches etc.

I have to say, it, in my experience, has a greater effect on women than men and guarantees a bloody good night at home.
A heart attack may ruin the night i suppose though.

Because I glacé-d some onions in olive oil yesterday, added some marjoram, paprika, a pinch of chili powder, parsley and two chicken legs, covered them with water and let the chicken cook. This morning I picked the meat off the bones and fed the shreds to the cats, and this evening I will make arroz con pollo. And sometime between 11pm and midnight my younger brother will come around after the UEFA Cup game Bayern v. Saloniki, have some leftovers and rave about his daughter who at six months can roll over sideways and has sprouted two teeth without the least moaning or crying. Life tastes good!
My friend arrives from Scotland in 2 hours for her first visit to Germany!! Lots of drinking and bad behaviour planned!

Not the way we celebrate it. We don't do the finding candy stuffed into our shoes in the morning, rather we always have a big party on the evening of the 5th where St. Nikolaus and occasionally even krampus (parents in costume) comes and reads from a golden book all the good and bad things we have done throughout the year. We then have to perform something for St. Nikolaus and get lots of presents in return.
So he wasn't really early.

Gorgeous pretty layer of snow. Light fluffy stuff. As my roommate said last night- this is a perfect Christmas Eve night (too bad it was 2 weeks early). Falling a sleep with the light and night sky reflecting off the falling snow and sparkling tree branches was nice.
this is much better than the crap from saturday-snow, sleet, freezing rain. Supposed to get more of that crap tomorrow.
I'll enjoy our 5 inches of fresh fluffiness while it lasts.
oh! and Noah is supposed to come tonight!! Yay- i've been excited all week to have him today-Sat!
