A Frenchman in my office, who i havent seen for a while, and I have just had some rugby banter. i said it was a shame france got knocked out when they did. he said at least england didnt win the WC. then we both nodded and went on our merry way.

because in a few hours its my weekend, there is snow outside and its getting that christmas feeling... the stores are decked out, notice them building the Markt at Weissenbergpl today.
And I got a compliment from 3 of my bosses.

I am happy today as I am planning my wedding in germany. Please can anyone help as to how i book a registry office? I would like to marry in or around fuessen. I need affordable accommodation for approx. 20 people

I'm happy I survived my 180 beats per minute step dance class and then I took the one hour power weight lifting class. I'm elated I could still stand on my feet and drive home.

Because I just now realized that it's the weekend, and because thanks to Plus I am now the proud owner of Lebkuchen Dominosteine and Stollen, and had German cheese cake for dessert tonight.

Because two weeks after moving out I've more or less got the flat straight, the kids seem fine and I've met a lot of interesting and nice people.

Tomorrow morning, Im going to have a cooked Scottish breakfast with the Stornoway Blackpudding,Ayrshire bacon and Tattie Scones etc etc, thanks to my friends back in Glasgow, who handed me the goodies just as we were leaving for our flight back to Frankfurt on Sun.

Because I'm off to Amsterdam...

Because my man and my cat arrived from California yesterday and it feels so good to have them around...and only 3 hours after they arrived we viewed our dream flat in Wiesbaden - fingers crossed we'll get it! And my bestest friend from London arrives tonight to spend the weekend with us.

Oh yay, Rilana, sounds good! I hope you get the apartment! Once I am back in Heidelberg we should meet up again, Wiesbaden is not that far at all!
And of course you should still come visit me here.

None of my fragile objects broke in spite of the damages to my suitcase. So I finally have a full set of measuring cups and spoons and a turkey baster and two 1 quart jars of French's mustard.

a load of us are off to a posh ball tonight and it's all paid by work yay!

For some strange reason, my 'basic ' SKY package is now showing me all the movie channels, sport and stuff that I didn't have before!

My two kids are fast asleep in my flat. The first time they have stayed over since the wife and I separated.

I had a lovely day today, with some friends and aquantances at a wonderful person's house for American Thanksgiving. I stopped eating about 5 hours ago, and am still full!

thanksgiving food... the food that keeps giving (leftovers and a forever full feeling after eating).
i'm on day 3 and in a bit will heat up meal number who knows what with thanksgiving leftovers.

This weekend I cooked great roast potatoes and pretty good yorkshire puds. I also discovered you can buy fudge in Germany.

This weekend my Lederhosen fit better than they did during the Wies'n.

I am happy because the rising sun shining on the leafless bushes covered with hoarfrost turned the usually prosaic B13 into a marble hall of beauty.

A beautiful day to be off work, sun is shinning and I just baked two Steak and Kidney pies, a whole batch of cheese and fruit scones and the house smells "British". Baa none of that 'orrible sauerkraut over cooked cabbage smells here.

The pies are rather large though shall be eating them for next couple of days so it seems, if anybody in graefelfing wants a bit drop buy...

Then number one son has just devoured some of it all and is happy as well, pie!

Got a letter from my Private Health Insurance, and suprise, my Premium is actually going down for next year. 7Euro a month! I think that is so cool. Hey, it made my day!
